My husband and I have used Northstar moving services three times for local moves. Every experience has been great and we always get really nice movers.
Most recently, we had a team of three men – Carlos, David, and Abel – and they helped us with our biggest move to date. They were really nice and professional and took good care of our West Elm furniture! Only one or two wine glasses broke in the move which was inevitable. I really appreciated that they did not nickel and dime us for every little thing and was surprised that they did not take any breaks except for a short 15 min lunch break when we brought them in n out (they had been working from 8am – 3pm at that time!!). On the admin side, Stephy is really great at booking everything and is responsive to email. I would definitely use Northstar again.
My only complaint with Northstar is that they make the billing really complicated for the head of the moving team. They have to fill out this form which was confusing for us and Carlos when trying to figure out the double drive time and all of the other little things that go into calculating the total cost. It literally took Carlos about 45 minutes to finalize the bill while he was on the phone with multiple supervisors.
