I moved with NorthStar this summer and interviewed about four other companies before settling on them. They came in with a fair price–much lower than one of the companies–but reasonable. When it came to how they handled the move–as well as the move itself–they were amazing–especially on the front end of the move and, especially, when there were some small complications on the backend.
First off, they know what they’re doing. Almost all of my stuff got across the country in one piece–and I truly believe no moves can be perfect. But more than that, the service was impeccable. I mean really impeccable. I had to put a claim in as some walls got damaged by my bigger pieces on a small staircase. They approved it on the spot. No stress. I had to file the paper work–which was easy in itself. But I had just moved–so my printer wasn’t hooked up and my office staff had some crisis and it was hard to keep all the balls in the air. So they mailed me a self-addressed envelope. Then I just got busy on a new job and filing this wasn’t on the top of my agenda. But though I was the one making the claim–that is, they were going to cut me a check–they called me once a week to remind me to get it in. I’ve never seen anything like it. The service was beyond professional, beyond courteous, beyond helpful. I couldn’t have better things to say. I hope I never move again–but if I do, I would pick up the phone to call Northstar in a heartbeat.
