Thank goodness for Yelp and honest people. I hadn’t moved in 12 years and I was out of the loop. All I knew is that it cost about $400 to move my furniture back then. I was stressing the thought of moving for some time.
I called NorthStar and used the online coupon. I got movers Michael B., Joe, and Antini O. to help me. No situation was too difficult. I lived on the second floor in a gated community and the house I moved into had minimal parking space. I am also thrifty. I wasn’t embarrassed to tell the movers to help me keep track of my “schedule” (wanted to stay under 4 hours). I did–easily. Looking back, I probably should have went for 5 (moved a lot of little things on my own).
Very friendly staff. It took only 1/2 the day. The ONLY drawback I can say is their price for boxes is a little high so I suggest “Uline” a ton of boxes before hand. Oh yeah, it was less than $400–even 12 years later.
