Edgar and his team were fantastic and provided excellent service during our recent move.
They arrived on time, well prepared with all the right supplies, and immediately started working. There was absolutely no slacking at all and they moved rapidly until the job was complete.
All four men were very professional and took extra care of our furnitures all throughout the move. They made sure items were safely secured and properly wrapped before loading onto the truck. You can tell they’re highly experienced as they were extremely efficient in loading and unloading all of our furnitures in a timely fashion.
The movers had to deliver a few furnitures from the city to my storage in the East Bay, and they made sure to avoid the rush hour, arriving there quicker than I had anticipated.
Given how stressful moving can be, at the end of the day I was so relieved everything went as smoothly as it did, and it was all thanks to Edgar and his team for their hard work. I would highly recommend these guys and will definitely be contacting them again for my next move.
Deon and his team helped my sister moved today and it couldn’t have gone better. The team arrived prompted, loaded everything and unloaded quick even though it was a long walk through the apartment building. Everyone on the team was great and very nice. Most definitely will recommend and use them again!
This was the third time that I have hired North Star Moving for a local move (2009, 2014, and 2018). The crew this time — Pablo, Jimmi, and Luis Pedro arrived a little before 9:00 a.m. on May 26. These young men were personable and attentive to our us and our move. As we’d done in the past to streamline the process, we had made several trips back and forth to carry clothing items, breakables, computer equipment, etc., to the new condo. We had already boxed up move everything else except for the furniture. The crew, once we’d walked them through the (former) apartment to show what was going, they started right in wrapping up the furniture and loading/removing the boxes. Once everything was packed, it was nearing lunch time so the guys took their lunch break and then met us at the new location. Luckily, the security staff directed us to a gate at the back of the property for unloading. This saved lots of walking (and time) for the crew to unload our belongings. At the end of the day, an estimated 6.75 hrs + packing materials, the bill was $1,060 (plus tip)….a couple hundred dollars more than we’d expected to pay, but were prepared to pay in cash nonetheless. North Star offered a 5% discount for paying in cash, so every little bit helps. In closing, we would recommend North Star for anyone looking for a good, reliable local mover. Oh, I can’t forget, Alma in their office was very prompt and helpful in getting me a quotation and scheduling the move on our preferred moving date. We’ll likely contact North Star Moving first the next time we need to move.
This is the 4th time we’ve used the company. Every time, great experience. We just moved today, and the guys worked fast. They were careful with all the items, and did a really good job. They had a great sense of humor, and they figured it out whenever there was an issue.
