I’m pretty new to this whole “grown-up” thing and so this is only the second time I’ve hired movers when moving residences. I was looking for a well-rated, relatively affordable, responsible, and careful moving company that would carry my little home from point A to point B. NorthStar absolutely is all of those things, and more.
The three movers who came were real pros. They were punctual, efficient, and communicated very well. When I asked if they’d make a stop to deliver some of my items to a third location, they were extremely accommodating. I felt bad for how many stairs there were involved in the process but they handled those stairs carefully and efficiently. They have the works – plastic wrap, wardrobe boxes, dollies, and blankets – to make sure nothing got dinged or scraped.
And! They were really fast! This is definitely a great moving company. I really don’t want to have to move again for a while but if I do, I’ll definitely be calling them again.

We had to move our small warehouse in early July. These guys did an excellent job handling 6 commercial size refrigerators even the there was no dock to unload. They were very helpful and handled any requests we had. I took the time to get their names to make sure they got recognized. The guys on our move were Jorge, Juan, Emanuel and Joe. I will use them on our next move too.
Lamar, from Northstar called to see if I could do my move an hour early. He and his crew arrived at the time he stated. They were friendly and professional. The guys wrapped my things & helped to pack the last remaining items. They were quick and moved efficiently. I am very happy with their service.
We’ve used NorthStar Moving Numerous time’s in the past and have always been pleased. However, today (one of the hottest weekends ever) we had the absolute pleasure of working with Albert, Lloyd and Kenneth. They showed up to our storage unit with great attitudes (despite the heat) and emptied it efficiently and quickly. Then, they had to climb up our long, steep driveway as their truck wouldn’t fit up it. They maintained their professionalism and finished the job faster than we expected. These guys know what they’re doing! I highly recommend them.
Wow! Great crew of people, fast, efficient, and non stop. We had them move from several places and they were awesome. I can’t emphasize how ridiculously efficient these people are, they emptied a 4 bedroom house with tons of heavy and large furniture in 2 hours and emptied a studio apartment in less than an hour (and we barely packed anything). They took care of everything, we just sat there like potatoes and watched. This has been the most stress free move I ever had. AND! unlike other companies, they won’t nickel and dime you for everything, if anything they probably rounded down for time. I’m really happy with this company and we’re definitely using them again!
Excellent service!!! Randy, aleinik, Aaron and Justin came right at time of appointment. They finished packing and uploading all my furnitures (one king size bed, two night stands, three couches, two dresser, a dinning table, a huge computer desk and a bunch of kitchen and bathroom supply) in 2 hours! After getting to the new place, everything was offloaded and place in my new place perfectly! Excellent work! Highly recommend!
Moving across the state can be tough. Especially finding a legitimate moving company on top of it all. Thankfully, I did enough research to find NorthStar. It is a legitimate company. They were very professional, punctual and careful with our belongings. I admire how they wrapped everything nicely and finished at the time they said they would. The price was reasonably negotiated for our big move. If you are looking for a moving company that is trustworthy and professional you’re in the right place. Cheers to NorthStar!
Northstar team has been super easy to deal with along the whole process. When I contacted them through Yelp, Stephanie immediately gave me a call and asked me about the situation. When I explained to her that I need to move only a few pieces（ mattress, desk, cabinet, leather chair and a few small items) and my new address is right across the street!(less than 2 mins away) , she went further to speak to her supervisor to give me a fixed rate for move. Since July is moving season, I went back and forth with her on the appointment times and she’s been super flexible with the changes. She gave me a 3 hour time span from 11am-3pm; and when I told that I prefer the earlier end of the time span, she put in a note for me.
When the moving team came on the July 3, they honored the quote to come earlier and moved everything in a fast and secure way. They carried their own supplies from boxes to wrapping tapes, and nicely covered all my items. We got everything ready to go within an hour of time!
A lot of companies focus mostly on speed of the move, but Northstar has been great to work with in terms of their professionalism and diligence in creating the easiest move for their client.

Very happy choosing NorthStar for my move. Kenneth, Tavon, and Louis were fun to be around while working as fast, smart, and efficiently as possible. We moved from Venice beach so parking was such a hassle and also traffic coming in and out of there was horrible. But the guys did such a smooth transition from A to B. Would highly recommend these guys again.
Just completed our move that took a total of 5.5hrs. These guys are very professional. Started the move on time. Did not take any break. Wrapped everything with great care. Our destination has a lot of stairs and it was quite some work getting all the furniture in the right rooms. They didn’t complain at all and got everything finished up on time. We would highly recommend them and definitely hire them again
