Not a scratch. They offered to help with reassembling & what not but we declined so can’t say much there. But really, it was a very positive experience.

We would recommend them & use them again.

They also offered the cheapest rate (by only like $10 but still) & we called about 5 other places.

About the reviews, they do offer an additional discount if you’re willing to review but no pressure at all. There actually 1 other company that was priced the same but other yelpers noted they were pressured or even forced & I don’t like that so just really glad we found & used Northstar.

Incredible, wonderful experience with Northstar. A couple weeks prior to the move we had an in-home visit for an estimate. A couple days prior we got a call from a *real live person* to confirm the move time and answer any questions we had. On the day itself, the move was flawlessly executed by Eduardo C., Ruben B., and Erick R. They were waiting in the truck on our street 15 minutes prior the window we were given, and got right to work. We actually had to rush packing up the food from our fridge because they were so fast! All told they took *less than half* the time we had been given as an estimate – and that resulted in us having to pay half the cost we were expecting. Such a nice surprise on a stressful day. Highly recommended!

What amazing service! I called in a near panic with a week timeline to get our move arranged (long story, but not my fault). Ana was wonderful; she managed to find me an opening and worked with me to get all options to make sure the time slot worked. I was very worried about finding a moving company to work with us on such a tight timeline, and it was such a relief to hear how professional Ana was and how willing she was to work with me to fit me in. I called another couple of companies and was laughed at (in one case literally; thanks a lot, buddy)- thank you north star and Ana for being so awesome! I’ll update after our move as well!

Like many San Francisco residents, I am being displaced due to my landlord selling the building.  I have 10 days to pack up and move a 2 bedroom home and I am freaking out.  Who was going to move us?  What date could we get at this eleventh hour?  I opened up Yelp and right away called Northstar Moving.  Michelle helped me right away.  She assured me that my precious items in my house would be wrapped up, disassembled, and moved with care.  Also, they will be reassembling my furniture in my new home for a very reasonable rate.  I can now rest with ease that my move is in good hands.  Michelle, if you are reading this, thank you!  You were amazing and very reassuring!  I am now looking forward to my move.

I am not often a yelp reviewer, however I decided to write a review due to the great experience I had with Northstar. Our estimator gave us by far the best quote we received, however I think he underestimated the job a bit. Ramiro, Chris and Miguel showed up and quickly and carefully took care of all of our valuables. This probably should have been a 4 man job  to fit the budgeted time but they were polite, honest, and had a smile all day. Due to the under estimation of the job, they went over the budgeted time and still honored the agreed price.

I highly recommend northstar to anyone looking to move and if you’re in Los Angeles, ask for Ramiro, Chris and Miguel!
