I have never used professional movers before, but Northstar Movers came highly recommended by several friends. They made scheduling within my short timeframe so easy and were incredibly knowledgeable and polite. I felt like I was in the right hands immediately. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know who needs a moving company!
I have gotten a quick quote and scheduled my move with a customer rep, Lynn. Friendly and professional scheduling. She answered all my questions that I had about the move including a few tips on wrapping some fragile items. I was satisfied with my scheduled appointment, looking forward to my move.

I just booked my move with Ana Coy at NorthStar. She made the process quick and painless. I like that their office is open on Sunday and I was able to make the booking in 5 minutes. Their hourly rates are competitive and based on the many other 5 star Yelp reviews I feel confident that everything will go smoothly. I will update this review in a month after the move. My husband and I have used Northstar moving services three times for local moves. Every experience has been great and we always get really nice movers.
Most recently, we had a team of three men – Carlos, David, and Abel – and they helped us with our biggest move to date. They were really nice and professional and took good care of our West Elm furniture! Only one or two wine glasses broke in the move which was inevitable. I really appreciated that they did not nickel and dime us for every little thing and was surprised that they did not take any breaks except for a short 15 min lunch break when we brought them in n out (they had been working from 8am – 3pm at that time!!). On the admin side, Stephy is really great at booking everything and is responsive to email. I would definitely use Northstar again.
My only complaint with Northstar is that they make the billing really complicated for the head of the moving team. They have to fill out this form which was confusing for us and Carlos when trying to figure out the double drive time and all of the other little things that go into calculating the total cost. It literally took Carlos about 45 minutes to finalize the bill while he was on the phone with multiple supervisors.

As it was my first time moving, I had a wonderful experience! My talented crew were friendly, efficient and could’ve been wearing capes. They also did some impressive Tetris playing when moving into my storage space. I expect to call on them again whenever I might move out of that storage space.
They are really great! We had three guys helping us move, they were on time, super polite, wrap the furnitures perfectly, fast and careful at the same time.
Totally recommend them to my family.
