Our movers: Sammy, Jason, and team leader Darryl M, were extremely efficient and a pleasure to work with. They were all so amiable, arrived on time, worked through the extreme July heat, carefully handled all of our items (even hand carrying an oversized painting down five flights of stairs), and were able to work around an elevator issue that arose in our apartment building during the move.
When we initially booked the appointment, NorthStar was they only moving company we contacted that was able to help us with a smaller truck (thereby allowing us to avoid the permits required for city parking of a standard sized moving truck). We would definitely use NorthStar again.

I hired NorthStar Movers to move me from LA to SF.
Jason, Bidal, and Augustine swooped in and moved me and a mountain of stuff to my new home. They were friendly, helpful and professional throughout. They even packed the entire kitchen without me needing to lift a finger. Truly a lifesaver. I highly recommend this team.

Jeremy, Lloyd, and Karem helped me move on Sat 7/23, which was 90F and about 75% humidity–not ideal moving weather. These guys were friendly, helpful, and super nice, and this was their second move of the day, but you’d never know it with all the energy and heart they put into their work. They tried for 45 minutes to get my couch thru the door of the new apartment, but alas, it was not to be. They were really apologetic, even though it wasn’t their fault at all–I should have measured the door frame before even attempting this. Anyway, all of my stuff made it to the new place in one piece (except an Ikea bookshelf that was already broken) and what didn’t get moved they hauled away for me and so saved me from having to do that myself. They got me the Yelp deal and let me pay with credit for the move. They stuck to the original quote (even though the move took longer than expected because of the couch situation), and I couldn’t have been happier with them.
