Just used northstar’s services for my move this morning. Edgar and his team were perfect. I had sent out ~20 messages out to different moving companies in SF and this the cheapest at only $85/hr. They include gas, packaging supplies, etc. This rate was supposed to include the truck and 2 men but there were 4!

Everything went smoothly. Making an appointment was simple, they gave me a call a few days before the move as well as 30min before the arrived, and also worked quickly and efficiently to box up all my things and move them to my new apartment.

I didn’t have many things but they brought a huuuuuuuge truck for it anyways. You have to book a minimum of 3 hours and we were done at about 2-2.5hrs.

Highly, highly recommend this company.
I went through several people including the owner Michelle when scheduling the move. Although it wasn’t just one person, everyone was courteous and professional. They were also accommodating in changing our move date.

NorthStar was also able to quickly get us the insurance certificates and waivers that our HOA required for moving. They were responsive in everything we had inquired.

Edgar and his crew helped us with the move. They arrived on time and were very careful in wrapping our furnitures and mattresses – a very important step in moving. They helped to disassemble our beds, TV, etc. They were also quick and efficient in moving our stuff. Obviously an experienced crew. Would I get them again for a move? You bet.
I could not have asked for a better experience with Northstar! We got three estimates before going with them and I’m so thankful we made the choice we did! They were prompt, professional, and even thoughtful about the way they moved special items like paintings, toys, even our dog’s stuff!

Our team – Manny, Alfonso, William, Jonathan and Jesse – was fantastic. Moving is stressful and exhausting and they made it both fun and efficient. We are so grateful to be in our new house and are enjoying these first few days in peace (and organization) because of them!

Moving is always stressful, but NorthStar Moving did an amazing job. I was contacted right away and communication throughout was excellent. They made sure to protect all our stuff and were very careful not to damage anything, but were still very efficient. Edgar and his team were able to load and unload our 3 bedroom in less than 3 hours. They were very professional and even showed up 30 minutes before our window. During the move, they were attentive to the directions we provided on where items were supposed to go, and the crew had great, friendly communication with us during the moving process. It was as painless as it gets and I would have no problems recommending them to anyone.

They went above and beyond to make, what could have been very stressful, a pleasant and seamless experience. Miguel and his crew helped with my move this morning. This is my second time using NorthStar. Their service is incredible. The crew today were so helpful, conscientious and hard working. They arrived right at the beginning of the window and gave me a call half hour in advance of their arrival. I’ve moved with these guys four times and it’s always been an easy experience. A few times things have broken, but that’s to be expected because moving sucks. They’re a good company and helped take care of it. They make moving suck less.

The guys at NorthStar Moving Company were great in helping me move! I managed to find a spot on short notice thanks to the scheduling team and my move couldn’t have gone smoother. They paid extra attention to my stuff as well.

Moving is terrible, but today I had it super easy thanks to Felipe, Joaquin, and Alan. They showed up right at the beginning of the window that they originally gave me and let me know their ETA more than an hour before they arrived. They took all of our stuff down three stories not only in record time but also with diligence and care. All furniture was wrapped carefully, and my super super heavy futon they took care to disassemble and reassemble – ensuring it would fit where we wanted it. On top of that they were professional through out, and the pricing was exactly as advertised. I hope to never move again, but if I have to, hope I get these guys.

We moved from 7,000 sq. foot house with a lot of furniture. 2nd time I have used Northstar. I would give them 10 out of 5 stars. Moving is traumatic and they quoted me on par with everybody else, sharpened the quote after discussion, were prompt, paid detailed attention, were so personable and friendly (the entire crew) and treated everything with kid gloves, were SUPER efficient and nailed their 4 day schedule of packing, moving and unpacking to the hour. SUPER IMPRESSED and No I didnt get a refund for just writing a fluff piece.!!
