I’ve moved A LOT — not only around the Bay Area but back and forth across the country — and my moves were always blah at best. At least, until I found NorthStar.
NorthStar just completed an across-town move for me in San Francisco and I have a lot of stuff that needed to be packed, wrapped, disassembled, reassembled so it wasn’t an easy move. I had two days scheduled — one for packing and wrapping, and the other for moving. I had the same crew both days, led by the amazing Jeremy, and they were courteous, grateful, professional, and went above and beyond to help me. I even got a little cranky, as people who move tend to do because we aren’t doing this daily, and they were extremely patient.
Everything arrived safely, all details and charges were explained to me without issue, and I never felt concerned, uncomfortable, or unsafe. I love this company and will definitely use them if I move again, and will recommend to all of my friends.

Northstar Moving was the one vendor in the entire moving process that consistently delivered customer satisfaction. This company is efficient, easy and professional to work with. In the last 11 months alone, I hired Northstar 5 times, twice for my parents, and 3 times for my own household. You can imagine that’s a lot of moving and a lot of stress. From the customer service rep who scheduled all my appointments (Stefy Nudel) to the last mover (Edgar), NorthStar moving was such a saving grace. I’m 100% satisfied with their service, speed, quality and professionalism!!! I’ve moved many times before and hired different companies. By far, Northstar has been the best experience, not to mention the best rates.

Update: We just moved and Miguel and his team were fantastic! They packed us one day and moved us the next. They packed us up quickly and well (all my fragile glassware etc., arrived in perfect condition). And the move…these guys were pros! It was raining–a continuous heavy downpour– the day of our move. They took such good care of our hardwood floors and carpets–you would never have known that they moved us on the rainiest day of the year. They placed all our boxes in the right rooms, put together our furniture and placed it where we asked and double-checked everything before they left. The crew was incredibly fast, polite, and just AMAZING!!! We really can’t say enough good things about NorthStar, they made our move as stress-free as a major move with a toddler can be. We would recommend them without hesitation.

It was our first time using movers and thanks to yelp found NorthStar. From getting a quote to the day of the move, everything went seamlessly. We were a little worried about the rain but fortunately it lightened up just in time for the move. Going to take the rain as good luck! Jeremy, Ivan, and Lloyd gave us a heads up call an hour before and the speed at which they wrapped the furniture and had our boxes loaded was impressive. The unloading went just as quickly. They had wardrobe boxes for us to use free of charge, which was great so we didn’t have to take clothes off of the hangers. They do charge for other packing supplies which they give you a pricing list when you book. We had always moved ourselves in the past, but this was an eye opening experience. Thank you NorthStar for helping us with our move!

It was our first time using a moving company and Northstar was great! Will definitely use them again if we ever need to move again. Jeremy, Ivan, and Lloyd were on time, got everything packed quick and unpacked quickly. They handled everything with care and were all very nice. From scheduling with Lynn everything went smoothly.
We used NorthStar on Friday and I cannot say enough amazing things about them. They gave us a window of 12-6pm and they called me at 12:20 to let me know they were on their way. Haitham and his team showed up and got to work immediately. They were friendly, careful and quick. Parking a large moving truck in SF is no easy task but they had no problem with it.
I was so impressed with Haitham and how professional he was. Anyone moving in SF should use these guys!
