Our family has moved 4 times in the last 6 years for jobs, better neighborhood, etc. So I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on how long it takes to move and I’ve seen several moving companies come get our stuff and move it to a new location.
When I contacted North Star Moving Company about our move, I just went off Yelp reviews and didn’t even price compare. I told them how I knew the amount of time it would take for a 4 man crew and we booked it.
Today is moving day and they showed up on time. Nemer and his crew were friendly and they are EXTREMELY fast and hard working. They wrapped, carried and packed the furniture at warp speed. They also unloaded the truck exceptionally fast.
I can’t say enough positives about these guys. I’ve used 4 different companies in 6 years and all were satisfactory, but Nemer and his crew, as well as North Star Moving Company, stand way above the rest.

I hired NorthStar to move me from one 2BR apartment to another. They were great! If and when I move again, I will call them and no one else. They showed up on time, were extremely efficient and courteous, and treated my things with respect and care. They just seemed like nice people all-around. Since I was paying them by the hour, I honestly expected a little less efficiency than I got, but they were practically running up the stairs with my stuff! I doubt they are the cheapest option out there, but if you want to know that your things are in good hands, I recommend them as an excellent value.
Another easy, efficient, and friendly move with NorthStar. We’ve had nothing but great service from these guys. Hannes, Matthew, and Rafa moved us today from their storage facilities to my new apartment. They were on time, professional, and worked in record time. This was the second time we used NorthStar Movers. These guys are highly professional, very polite and extremely efficient. The total price for our move turned out the behalf of the estimated quote that they had given us.
Amazing service. They showed up at promised time worked the entire time they were there. The movers did not hesitate in moving items that were not mentioned in the initial call for reservations. All the items were well taken care of.
There were also no hidden charges nor did the driver take long in getting from my old home to my new home. (Saved me lots of money as a result.).
Ps. This company is much cheaper than using a deal with different movers in conjunction with groupon or living social.

These guys were fantastic. Jose Barreto and his team with Orlando and Hector were prompt, professional, and extremely efficient. Entire apartment moved in 3 hours flat. They took care to protect my belongings and to treat my building and neighbors with respect. I absolutely recommend these guys for in town moves around Los Angeles.
Moving companies are a dime a dozen nowadays which makes it even harder to find a reputable one. NorthStar was fantastic, i moved a 2 bedroom from a 3rd floor apartment about 20 miles away and it was easy, painless and damage free. The movers took care of all of my furniture, wrapped and padded. They also made quick work of a move out using a common elevator, something that isn’t easy! I will definitely use them again on my next move!
Best moving experience! We had a great crew consisting of Phil V., Rodolfo S., and Carlos S. They were quick, efficient and very professional. They didn’t waste time or try to add unnecessary hours to our move. Really happy with the service and highly recommend them!!
