We recently employed your company to re-Iocate some of our possessions from an apartment on Wilshire Boulevard to another apartment in Marina Del Rey. The move was complicated by the need for some items having to be stored – not only in your facility, but also in three different storage lockers at our Marina residence.
We experienced an extremely smooth moving day, with every request handled expertly and professionally by your staff, both in the packing as well as in the moving process.
We especially want to commend to you the Project Manager, Ron Cohen, who met with us and gave us complete confidence that your company would be the best for our move. He remained in touch with us from start to finish, always returning our calls and meeting all of our requests. He is an excellent representative for NorthStar.
Most importantly, the men who actually did the work of packing and moving were outstanding. Robert, the foreman, was extremely professional, a good listener, and never overlooked any of our specific requests. He managed his crew – all of whom were efficient, hard workers and amazingly skillful- with a calm competency that showed why they all respect him. Some of their names – Adrian (wonderfully
helpful), Eric, Herman – we will always remember as the best part of our move.

In short, these guys rock. The move was easy to set up, we got a convenient time, and the CSR who handled the scheduling and transaction end of things got everthing right.
The best part, though, was the actual moving crew. Joel and his team arrived right on time, packed everything perfectly, were incredibly pleasant to deal with, patiently waited for me to figure out where I wanted things in the new place–all on the rainiest, stormy day of the year. Nothing broken, nothing lost–I would use them again and recommend them to friends and specifically ask for Joel and his guys to do the move.
My move from Santa Monica to Marina Del Rey is the shortest one I’ve done in the past twenty years. Still a move is a move and the only difference is the
time it takes for your things to arrive. In this case it was 10 minutes. I picked Northstare moving after reviewing 5 other companies.
The initial enquiry was done very professionally, they showed that they were interested in my business. Ben came over to do the onsite estimate and provided
a not to exceed quote. This too was professionally done and I got my quote within the same day
The moving crew was headed by Ran Ovadia and assisted by Anvel Lopez and Agustin. They moved in a very coordinated fashion.
The packing of the sofas, arm chairs, bed and other heavy furniture was done very quickly and I could tell that they would not be damaged during the move.
It was all go from the get go, they did not stop! During the move in all items came and got unpacked in record time, the best I’ve seen with all my moves.

My name is Michael Klein and this e-mail is being sent to you with the express intention of telling what a wonderful job your company did on my move to Cypress of Friday last. It had all started with talking to a young lady by the name of Wendy Paola who was extremely professional and very pleasant and gave me all the particulars on your company and rates and what services you folks performed. After getting off the phone with her I then called a few other companies to get their information and rates and much to my surprise they didn’t even come close to you guys.
After calling a few more companies to compare services I then went ahead and booked my move and waited for the fateful day to arrive. This will be my 4th move in three years and I’m done! Around 9:00am my door bell rang and a man by the name of Junior came to the door to tell me that they were ready to go to work. This is when the orchestra began! Well let me tell you that these guys know their business! They wrapped everything carefully and padded everything that was critical and really took care of my things like it was their own property. I sincerely hope that anybody who is planning to move in the near future uses you folks, because I will never forget Junior, Misael and Miquel.K for the incredible job they did.

The four men crew that moved us from San Juan Cpistrano to Seal Beach were outstanding. Kevin, our foreman was the best. Erick, Tamir and Gabriel rocked. They didn’t waste any time, they were on their feed, stacking our boxes in the truck, wrapping my furniture neatly with their blankets, packing up my books. They did a great job of loading the truck very carefully as to not waste any space, even my big garden planters fit on that truck along with my three bedroom house content. I was already mentally prepared to leave them behind… It was without doubt a job well done
Seeing a recent review of a moving company reminds me: I will never, never pack and move myself again. Ever.
I actually learned that lesson on a corporate relo, when my company moved me from Baltimore to Southern California in 2005. But, Northstar Moving reinforced that notion when I moved last year from Huntington Beach to Costa Mesa. Yeah – I know – it was like 3 miles. But I was living in a temporary place at the time, and that place was on the 2nd floor, and involved 5 flights of stairs. And, like any good East Coast girl, I have a lot of heavy crap including a full dining room set with china closet and place settings for 12. Did I want to pack and move that crap to my new house in Costa Mesa? No way.
Luckily – I found these guys. They showed up on time, with a crew of 5 guys, and packed, wrapped and moved everything out of my second floor walkup in less than 3 hours. The whole move, including a stop for lunch, was less than 5 hours, and everything was wrapped carefully, unwrapped and reassembled. No damage to TVs, crystal, china, or anything else. Not even a scratch.
Best yet? They came in under their original estimate. And that includes a boatload of boxes from them, because they packed a lot more of my stuff than I originally planned.
So, a little late review since this was in November of 2007, but still – I’d use these guys again in a heartbeat.
Totally awesome – we have a lot of stuff, including a lot of furniture, and Northstar’s three man crew handled it all quickly and carefully. We moved from a second floor apartment to a house, and I was really surprised at how deftly they moved everything out, including disassembling furniture when required (and reassembling at the new place).
I had a quote from Flat Rate that left out a lot of the stuff North Star ended up moving, and North Star’s total ended up coming in below the Flat Rate quote. It’s the only time I’ve used movers, and I’d happily use them again in a second.
I have the pleasure to address this letter of appreciation and recommendation for a very special person, Mr. Gadi M. Avigzer, of NorthStar Moving Corporation, in Los Angeles, where I was the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey until very recently.
It is not often I perform such a task, as I believe that a letter of appreciation and/or recommendation is a very serious matter. After trusting to Mr. Avigzer, the special packaging, sensitive handling and overseas, as well as inland transportation of the museumlike quality, highly valuable objects and goods from The Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles to all the way in Istanbul, Turkey (also some to Boston) and receiving them all intact; and, previously to that, after observing for days, the exemplary way he demonstrated his superior management and leadership abilities during the sorting and packing of over 150 boxes of paintings, very delicate glass, silver and porcelain antiques and other delicate, very fragile times, my reasons to have such a highly positive opinion for this gentleman, are the following:
This well traveled, very articulate young man’s leadership qualities, analytical skills and ability to grasp new ideas and novel projects are well developed and I am confident that he will demonstrate constructive, as well as result oriented behavior when confronted with problems and even highly complex matters, conducive to resolution. He possesses the traits of persistence, efficiency and motivation to the fullest extend and I have pleasantly observed that these qualities of his are always accompanied with extreme courtesy, good spirits, cheerful attitude, very positive approach and a good sense of humor.

I’m writing to you today to praise the service I received yesterday during my move. Northstar Moving Corporation provided me with three professional, hard-working and friendly movers named: Junior, Angel and David C.
I moved from a second story apartment home to a third story apartment home. Both locations included many stairs, hallways, sharp turns and alleyways. I also own heavy furniture and fragile keepsakes. Nothing was broken and everything was treated with care and concern.
