I used Northstar in April for a move from San Jose to Texas and was a bit worried because most of their great reviews were for local or in-California moves, and they weren’t able to send someone to my house to provide an estimate until 6 days before the move date. But, I went with them because they gave me a great price quote, and they were fantastic! Angelo led my move team and he was so courteous, friendly, and helpful, it was clear that keeping the customer happy was his #1 priority. Cesar was my driver, kept me updated throughout the drive to Texas, and worked really hard as part of the smaller 2-man moving team that unpacked the truck in Texas. I was very impressed!

Lynn you are a ROCKSTAR! You saved me! I love that you were able to work with me quickly and efficiently in regards to my move. Setting up the appointment was SUPER easy, you guys were flexible on the time in which you could unload my apartment which is late in the day. I really appreciate it!
Like most people, I have an intense dislike for moving, so we do it as seldom as possible. We always use movers, but are rarely happy with the outcome. This time we used North Star, based on the Yelp reviews. Unlike my prior moving experiences, North Star was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone was professional and courteous from Ron Cohen showing up to give us the estimate, to Rebecca’s confirmation call, to the truck being packed at the old house and unloaded at the new house. Our four movers, Ramiro G., Taylor R., Eric Cruz and Carlos Z, were the “Dream Team”. They were knowledgeable, hard working, respectful, careful, fast, neat and personable…working like a well oiled machine. They were so impressive that my neighbors asked for their names and contact information for North Star.
Moving is never fun, but in the right hands, it can be much less painful.
While there were a few minor hiccups, NorthStar Moving handled my move properly. Anytime I had a “gripe”, I’d call and they were able to help. Even better, a Manager is a few words away and they were super helpful if I needed clarification around pricing, timing, etc.
Everything arrived unbroken, properly protected and the movers themselves were quick and friendly.
In a world full of shady movers, NorthStar stepped up to the plate and delivered (literally). I will definitely recommend them to others!

Used northstar for our move today. They made things so easy! Chris M., Joshua G., and Andrew N. were AMAZING during our move! Efficient, reasonably priced, and just really cool guys. Would definitely recommend Northstar to people who want a smooth, easy move.

Just moved from Culver City to Northridge and couldn’t have had a better experience than what NorthStar Movers provided. It was exactly what you want in a moving company: On time, moved quickly, extremely careful with all of our stuff, nice guys in charge of all our possessions, super polite, and no hidden fees/charges at the end. Our movers were Luis, Omar & Hugo. We were amazed at their speed, especially the unloading at our new apartment. Especially key when you pay by the hour.
I was especially pleased that they double checked with us on which room to put things in when it was unclear. For as long as I’m in the LA area, I’ll be using these guys for any future moves.

This was the first experience my girlfriend and I had with movers. We were obviously concerned about how our “stuff” would be handled. I worked in TV and saw how well the professionals in the art department handled the studio’s rental furniture. My expectations were high. NorthStar did not disappoint one bit. James and his gang were not only professionals, they were courteous and engaging with the both of us. What struck me the most was how hard they continued to work all day long. In the end, we paid about $400 less than our estimated price. That was a pleasant realization, to say the least. We would not hesitate to recommend North

I just spoke with Anna to set up a move and she was awesome! She was very clear and explained everything in detail making sure I understood the charges that would occur. Very professional service compared to other companies I called. I look forward to seeing them this week in action!
Alma helped me book my move, she was great! She walked me thru everything leaving me with no questions at the end. Plus it’s my second time moving with this company and she was the one who helped me a year ago, no problem!
