I move a lot. A LOT (thanks Bay Area high prices and low quality rentals!). This last move though, I was basically a trash fire. I was sick, unprepared, and strapped for time, and my apartment (which I normally like have to have packed and ready to go for movers) was a chaotic nightmare hellscape. Thank you to Jessie, Carlos, and Will for getting me and my husband through it (and for not throttling him even though I offered when he was being particularly annoying, lol). They were friendly, fast, and had an unending amount of patience even though I’m sure it was a much longer day and a much bigger job than they anticipated.
I’ve used NorthStar for my last three moves, and I always recommend them to friends for theirs.
When I was in my 20’s I just used to offer a pizza and have all my friends come over to help move, but my amount of stuff has grown (in both quantity and weight!), and my stamina has diminished, and I just can’t do it anymore. The convenience of hiring movers, to me, at this point in my life is invaluable (but, like everything else in this world, obviously there’s a price attached, lol)
Pricing I’ve found to be lower than most other movers I’ve looked into here on Yelp (I check each time, because you never know what happens in a year or two), and sales reps aren’t pushy like I’ve experienced when I’ve contacted some other companies.
Seriously, I can’t recommend them enough.

They are super efficient, quick and amazing! Came on time, all of our stuff came perfect and most importantly they move efficiently , no time wasted! They’re very friendly and the service is reasonably priced! Will definitely use them again if I have to move again and definitely recommend to others!
David and his crew were early which worked out GREAT and busted their ass moving our apartment and storage unit into the new house. Very clean, courteous, and hard working. BEST prices in town and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if I ever move again. Thanks guys for the hard work!!
Northstar moving company was great! Answered my call right away, made an appointment for me, and had great communication. On the day of the move, the movers were right on time. They even called me half an hour before they arrived. They packed everything efficiently and without damage. They made it to our location quickly, and unloaded everything efficiently and without damage. They were great movers, very polite! I am very happy I found North Star Movers. Our move was a little bit of a long one, but they did it and it was a very easy process! I have never used a mover before, and I’m glad I chose Northstar!
I love this moving company! This is the second time I have used NorthStar for a move and once again, they did not disappoint. The crew was on time, efficient and helped us organize/box the chaos that we couldn’t wrangle ourselves. They took the upmost care of all of our items and everything arrived in perfect condition. The guys were all professional, kind and easy going – the best combination for stressful situations! I cannot recommend NorthStar enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your next move – you won’t regret it!
Awesome service! Used them for the second time in three years and each time, I couldn’t be happier with them. From the smooth booking process over the phone to the full service moving, these guys are great and I’d highly recommend them to anyone. NorthStar was immediate and scheduled us promptly with little time notice.
I highly recommend Jessie and his crew because they work non stop, are super friendly, and fantastic at taking orders and requests.
They are truly professional, and although my hope is not to move again any time soon… if I had to I would call them back up immediately.

This is at least my 4th time working with Northstar Moving, including a big move up the state. I’ve always been impressed with the team! They are very friendly, careful with my special items, and work very hard. I had some extremely fragile antique pieces and they used such care in wrapping the items so that even the tiniest intricate detail was protected. They helped me arrange the furniture in the new space and patiently worked with me as I needed to rearrange one more two times in order to make it all fit. They communicated regularly to let me know their progress and if they had any concerns about anything. They transferred a very heavy upright piano that I was really nervous about moving, and it made it through the move unscathed. Thank you for another smooth, seamless move! Shout out to Edgar, Jose, Noe, Corey, and Marvin.
Good service. Anthony and Taj were exceptional. Guys hustled and were on top of it. Went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the service! Good communication throughout and very careful with items!
Couldn’t be happier with the move from NorthStar. They were really easy and straightforward in setting it up. Then on moving Day they were prompt, courteous and took extra care with all of our things. All the furniture was wrapped professionally in blankets. And they brought extra boxes in tow.
One they started moving they kept a quick pace and hustled to get outer move completed by early afternoon for by early afternoon. No drama at all. Would definitely hire them again! These guys are great!
