Today I had the pleasure of meeting Calvin H, Antonio & Ricardo. They were all so amazing and went above what I expected from them. This was my first time ever dealing with a moving company and will definitely recommend them to anyone. They were all so nice and helped pack everything that still needed to be secure. I would specially like to thank Calvin since he was so open about any questions I had, his work ethic was amazing and is a hard worker that makes sure to go through everything with you. He called about 45 minutes before they arrived to give me a more specific time frame. Overall I would give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended! If the delivery is as smoothly as the pick up I would be so pleased, I will review again once my delivery is made.
These guys are amazing. Quote was accurate, no nickle and diming later. Explained all the charges and were clear how I could save money…. didn’t try to oversell extra insurance. I got 2 other quotes (from 1 small and 1 large company) and these guys beat them both by $800.
The guys who picked up were on time… very professional, clean, and worked their asses off taking apart all my furniture (and we have a lot), carrying down 3 flights of stairs – fast and cheerfully.
Excellent customer service. We needed extra fast delivery…. infant was going ballistic about being in an empty new apartment. Cesar bent over backwards to beat their original est delivery date.

The guys who picked up were on time… very professional, clean, and worked their asses off taking apart all my furniture (and we have a lot), carrying down 3 flights of stairs – fast and cheerfully.

Holy lord these guys are monsters. And I mean that in a good way.
My reservation block to move from Beverly Hills to Long Beach was 8-10 am and they showed up around 8:15 (they even called twice to let me know their ETA) and started moving stuff like Tasmanian devils. No slackers here. George gave me an estimate and assured me that it wouldn’t be more than that, which is a nice touch because it encourages the movers to work quickly. Orlando and David rounded out the three person crew and they went gangbusters on our stuff, some of which still needed to find homes in open boxes. They asked the right questions and had friendly personalities which made the sweat-filled time we had a bit more enjoyable.
They were all great but George is an animal. He’s probably 5’4″ and he was carrying elephants of boxes on his back. Whole chairs. Doubles boxes of heavy books. I saw him RUNNING around my fridge as he taped it up. Plus they moved the old fridge that was decaying in the new place out and brought my new one in. And my new place does not have a convenient loading zone either. But they made it happen. A++++
Moving is the worst. And these guys do it every day. Sometimes twice a day. And they do it with smiles and with positive attitudes. In the end, even with supplies that I ended up having to purchase, the total was about what he estimated. I gave them a big tip because they really impressed me.
Hire them. You won’t be sorry. If you are, you didn’t get George, David, and Orlando.

Starting my relationship with NorthStar Moving, I spoke with Alma to coordinate and plan my local move in the SF Bay Area. Even with a short notice,
Alma was friendly, helpful and detailed in her answers. I am sure I had some detailed and on-point questions. This isn’t my first rodeo. No matter, Alma
was thorough and provided all of the details I needed.
Even though I am not truly loving the packing and move fun – who is? – at least I feel good in securing movers that are ready to help me tackle the
experience, and for a friendly connection in Alma.
Had a really great, thorough and fun time going through my home with Gadi prior to our move. He, along with the staff who set up my appointment over the phone, was very professional, interested and seemed to care about what he was doing. Haven’t had the best experiences with movers in the past, but I feel that NorthStar will handle our stuff as if it’s their own. Looking forward to our move now in a few weeks! -Dana R.
NorthStar Moving made our move so easy and painless. The packing service is incredible! Having professionals pack up your life is a total game changer that takes away so much of the stress of moving. They moved our stuff quickly and with care and my favorite part was when they came back a week later to pick up all the empty boxes after we unpacked! A great experience from start to finish!
I was referred to this company by a co-worker. Ron Cohen at NorthStar promptly returned my call and came out the next day to estimate my move. At first I wasn’t happy because I thought the quote was high. I talked to two other movers. Both were hard to get return calls from. Neither came out to estimate. They took cash only. I started to get nervous and asked Ron to please do the job even after I canceled with him. His team was super friendly and super efficient. When they saw how much stuff I had, they were skeptical I could get it all done for the price quoted, but in the end it came in under. They really worked hard to meet my budget. The move was fast, efficient, and as painless as a move can be. I really am grateful to Ron and his team for coming through for me. I ended up very happy!
You’ve got to use NorthStar for your next move! I was referred to them by a smaller mover who couldn’t handle a big pack and move. I called them after calling another major moving company and I am so glad I did. Not only did they get me movers available on the date I requested on very short notice (which the other company couldn’t do), they ended up being much less expensive than the other moving company I called and even others I’ve heard about from friends. We had them do a full pack and move and, boy, it made our move so easy and virtually stress free.

I had to move twice in six months, A back-and-forth move. I had lived in this place for 19 years so I had accumulated a bunch of stuff. The first room was so good that I hired the for the return trip. I was happy to see the same crew. They took great care of my stuff, reassembled everything properly, were very responsible and generally busted their butts nonstop. Highly recommend.
