Moved yet again, so went to my now go-to NorthStar Moving. Setting up the appointment was quick and easy. I received a call a couple days prior to confirm arrival time. Due to an LA marathon I was advised there could be delays. So instead they requested the movers arrive even earlier at their warehouse (545 AM!), which they did, so the movers could arrive at my location on time still (8-10).
Randy Chicas called about 30 minutes before arrival to give a heads up. He, Erick, and CJ showed up, took a look, and promptly got to work. They packed everything with care, taking into account special requests I had (pack certain things for storage, or donation, etc.). With no time wasted, everything was eventually packed, and delivered in same condition to my new location (everything in the proper room).
Side note, there was a 2nd location for delivering other items, but that went just as smoothly.
Other side note, they used prior packing material I happened to save (packing paper, boxes, tape), before using their material (which would cost extra). Point being, they were respectful of both time and materials (no needless waste/extra cost).

These guys are great! From the on-site estimation with Ron to Manny and his team who came to pack and load – they were punctual, professional, and friendly. They even left me a couple of small boxes to pack up some remaining items that they couldn’t take on the truck. I highly recommend them and will be using NorthStar for any future moves!

Today was my first day working with Northstar. And I have to say they were great. Quick, efficient and lots of detail labeling while they were packing up. Not to mention they were right on time at 8am. Call them!
I moved today with Northstar and have nothing but great things to say. David and Lupe were fantastic! They were on time, very careful with our stuff, and hustled. They were very courteous and making jokes and made the day much more enjoyable. I will absolutely use Northstar again for our next move
Northstar is amazing! Karan, Wendel & Sergio were fast and so accommodating to all of my picky requests. We are driving a truck one-way and hired them to pack up our rental. They are experts at packing a lot of stuff in a small truck to maximize space and distribute the weight for a long distance drive. Thank you for all of your help to make our big move a lot easier!

NorthStar Moving & Storage packed up our household in Los Angeles, moved us from Los Angeles, CA to Terrebonne, OR, and partially unpacked our household goods in Oregon, putting some of the goods into a separate storage facility (7 miles from our house). The move went spectacularly well. NorthStar coordinated extensively with us by phone and email through multiple changes of the move date (due to our problems not theirs) with total courtesy and professionalism. The packing crew showed up on time and was friendly, professional, efficient, and respectful of us and our goods. We have moved a number of times and this was best moving crew we have ever had. The goods were delivered exactly on schedule to our new home and arrived in near perfect condition. We had absolutely minimal damage to our goods, by far the least damage to our household goods of any move we have made. Post-move Northstar was responsive and settled the minimal claims quickly and to our satisfaction. Their price for the move was comparable to that of the other quotes we got for the move and no extra charges or fees were applied. Their original quote on the move was what we paid.
Despite having moved way too many times, I really hate moving. I called NorthStar on the recommendation of another company – that doesn’t do packing – and I was not disappointed. Haitham, Augustin and Carlos arrived on time, did a great job (and trust me, I know about packing) and were friendly and patient despite rain and several flights of stairs. Everything arrived safe and sound – nothing broken. I would definitely use NorthStar again, though am hoping I don’t have another move in my future. And oh, take advantage of the Yelp offer!
Nelson and his team were fantastic! We needed help moving and they were efficient and thorough. They packed up nearly everything in our (small) one bedroom and moved us (about a mile and a half away) in about 4 hours with courtesy and respect. They even reassembled the bed once we got to the apartment.
