Very professional! They came in on time and made sure all of our furniture was protected and well transported. They help with disassembling furniture and assembling in the new house (other companies don’t offer this, but they don’t tell you this) Also the booking process was very professional, I got an agent assigned and got a quote by email (some other companies won’t give you a quote by email, which raised an alarm for me). A friend recommended us this company for moving and they are definitely great, I will recommend to anyone who is planning to move.

My husband called and scheduled movers for our Bay Area move. North Star was able to schedule us with less than a weeks notice. Jason, Bidel and Augustine did an excellent job. Worked very fast loading our furniture and delivered it across the bay from San Francisco to Oakland in one day. Broke down and reassembled all of our furniture very quickly. They were very easy to work with and respectful of our time. If we ever have to move again we would use them again. We highly recommend north star movers!
I used Northstar three years ago to move my friend from his house into an assisted-living residence, and again in July 2017 for another move. For all three moves the movers were professional and everything went smoothly. They are very good at packing things I wasn’t able to pack myself, like a big TV set, computer, large lamps and artwork.
The guys showed up during the 8-10 window just as they said they would. They were all very friendly and they worked very hard. It was super hot and muggy but they stayed wry good natured. We had packed up a lot of stuff so they were able to work on the fragile ones. I really appreciated how well they treated my things and how they realized they were precious to me. The paperwork process was thorough and helpful!
NorthStar made my move painless. They arrived early to move my boxes, shrink wrap my furniture, pack my smaller items into a larger box. They also moved my clothing hanging in my closet into wardrobe boxes for an easy unpacking into my new closet. The customer service was great and I would recommend this moving company to friends and family.
From the very start the overall experience was great and the company and their people are very professional. The booking staff explains everything clearly and you get a confirmation email. The day of, you get a call before the movers arrive and the movers arrived at the early part of my appointment window. They are fast and courteous and take care of your belongings. Having just moved 4 months earlier these guys are worth everything penny, especially when compare to the other guys. Would definitely recommend and use them again.
My movers Jason, Bidal, and Mike were beyond amazing! They came earlier than was originally planned for (good!!) and gave me a heads up call to make sure everything was ready. They had all the moving materials, helped me pack some stuff last minute, and wrapped everything in safe blankets. They were quick, professional and were pleasant to work with. I would recommend these guys to anyone! Definitely would use their services again. My one bedroom apartment was moved with speed within three hours. I moved from 94115 to 94124 and the whole thing went very smoothly. Recommended with five stars!!
My wife and I bought our first condo and we’re moving from the west tower to the east tower at 1 Daniel Burnham Court. We called East Star and couldn’t be happier with the work that Roger, Don, and Jesus put forth. They were very professional and took great care of all of our stuff. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone that is thinking about using a moving company to help with the transition into a new home. They even helped unpack and set up the furniture just as it was in the last condo we were renting. They made a stressful situation into a seamless relocation. 5 stars!!
I just had my single family home packed and moved from San Francisco to Oakland with NorthStar Moving and the crew from their San Mateo operation. I can strongly recommend them on the basis of my experience.
Here’s some details. I ordered a full service move for my house, which involved a day of packing and a day to load the truck and move. In the course of that process I worked with two different teams. The packers were ok, but not great. Courteous guys, but their “packing” job resulted in a lot of things that weren’t packed. Some drawers in the kitchen with stuff still in them. Some shelves with stuff still on it, the bed not taken apart, and despite my request for them to clearly label everything, many boxes unlabeled. I was pretty grumpy when I came back from some errands at the end of the day to see what state they’d left things in.
The next morning, the day of the move, another team showed up, and they were rock stars. They fixed everything that the first crew had left undone or done shoddily — labeled everything, packed the remaining items, etc. Then they proceeded to do an utterly fantastic job loading the truck, getting everything over to the new place, and putting everything in the right rooms. Attentive and responsive, always asking to make sure we were having a great experience. Roger and Cory and the crew were totally excellent, and tireless workers.
I will use NorthStar Moving again. Hopefully not for another 10 years, of course. But strongly recommended.
