All our property got delivered to AZ a few days later and unloaded by a different crewe that was just as meticulous, caring, and professional. I literally could not have handled by stuff more carefully or respectfully than these guys. I was so impressed.

While trying to find an affordable long distance mover from So-Cal to Seattle, I stumbled upon Northstar. I had received quotes from other companies, but the Northstar team was prompt about following up and communicating what next steps were at all times; which is why I went with them.
I moved during Covid, which was stressful, but the team has adapted wonderfully to keeping the process safe, but accurate. I started with a virtual walk through of my apartment, listing all my furniture and then getting a detailed quote. I locked in a date, and the moving team arrived on time, with PPE and extra packing supplies. I had packed everything myself, but when the team identified items that needed more packaging or padding, they went out their way to make sure all of my items were protected.
My things arrived two weeks later at my new location; the only thing that had broken during the move was a coffee cup (that I didn’t pack very well). All in all I was very pleased with the price, the service and choosing North Star to handle my move. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable long distance mover that will charge them a fair price for their services.
I used NorthStar moving for my recent move from CA to NYC. I had very positive experiences with the cost estimator and all the customer service folks. A crew of 5 people came to pick up my stuff in CA, and everyone was professional, thorough, and careful. My possessions made it to NY in 10 days, which was amazing. However, the team (of only 2 people!) that dropped off my stuff was highly unprofessional – they refused to wear masks, damaged some of my plastic bins and an expensive bookshelf while unloading the van, and picked fights with my new neighbors for no reason.
When I provided this feedback to NorthStar, the COO personally called me back to discuss my situation. She was extremely empathetic and genuinely wanted to hear details of my negative interaction with the NY crew. She immediately provided a small refund on my move, and said she will use my feedback for future improvements.
Given NorthStar’s commitment to make things right, I highly recommend their services to others!
True professionals. I can’t say enough good things about NorthStar Moving. They were on time, on budget, and on point. We did an interstate move of a 1bd/1ba + piano. Anyone moving can attest to the headache that surprises (be it time or money) add to the already complicated process. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES. NorthStar gave an accurate quote based off of a video inventory walk through. They were in touch several days before pick up to confirm timing and logistics and gave enough notice for a seamless drop off. The movers themselves were careful but quick. They even expertly boxed up my 400+lb upright piano to provide further protection during the move. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I would recommend this company to any of my neighbors and wish they were headquartered at our new location so that I can use them in future moves.
Northstar Moving Co is by far the best moving company I have ever dealt with (and I have moved A LOT). I have used Northstar 4 times already and every single time they have provided nothing but the best of service, with a smile, and for a very reasonable price. Jason and Haithan helped me most recently and they were just great–so hardworking and such a positive attitude! I can’t say enough good things about this company and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!
I’ve moved 7 times in the past 6 years, and I have to say this move was the fastest, easiest, and most professional yet. I’ve got some really heavy marble top furniture, and they took fantastic care making sure it wasn’t damaged on the move. My last moving company took nearly all day to do the job and even charged more for an in-city move. NorthStar packed things and loaded in just hours and the price for an out-of-state move is extremely reasonable. These guys are efficient, professional and I can’t recommend them enough!
Alex and his crew were right on time and very professional; they took great care when wrapping and organizing all our furniture, boxes etc…I’m using NorthStar for a long distance move from LA to the Bay Area and look forward to leaving another good review upon delivery. Alex was very kind and I would definitely work with NorthStar again based on this experience so far. Movers wore their masks correctly for the entire moving service!
