I moved with NorthStar this summer and interviewed about four other companies before settling on them. They came in with a fair price–much lower than one of the companies–but reasonable. When it came to how they handled the move–as well as the move itself–they were amazing–especially on the front end of the move and, especially, when there were some small complications on the backend. First off, they know what they’re doing. Almost all of my stuff got across the country in one piece–and I truly believe no moves can be perfect. But more than that, the service was impeccable. I mean really impeccable. I had to put a claim in as some walls got damaged by my bigger pieces on a small staircase. They approved it on the spot. No stress. I had to file the paper work–which was easy in itself. But I had just moved–so my printer wasn’t hooked up and my office staff had some crisis and it was hard to keep all the balls in the air. So they mailed me a self-addressed envelope. Then I just got busy on a new job and filing this wasn’t on the top of my agenda. But though I was the one making the claim–that is, they were going to cut me a check–they called me once a week to remind me to get it in. I’ve never seen anything like it. The service was beyond professional, beyond courteous, beyond helpful. I couldn’t have better things to say. I hope I never move again–but if I do, I would pick up the phone to call Northstar in a heartbeat.

I was very pleased with the quality of service of my move with Northstar. I called them on a whim when I got transferred to California to Florida and they had someone there within 24 hours to give me an estimate and my things arrived in Florida a week later. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Also, their quote was almost 1/3 less than anything else I received. This was my second move across the country in the past two years and my items were handled with care and communication was excellent between North Star and and the truck driver. I would highly recommend Northstar to anyone looking for a mover, whether local or across the country.

I chose NorthStar Moving Company to help me move from my old apartment to the one in which I am currently residing, and they were great. In fact, when I need to move again in the future (due to present circumstances, that is looking like in a year from now), I will be hiring them again. The movers were careful and polite, and they were surprisingly prompt. They arrived early in the morning exactly when they were scheduled, and they finished the move in the minimum time required. While other movers sometimes dawdle the actual transportation process in order to increase the amount of hours worked, my movers finished in just over three hours (which I would consider the bare minimum required to complete a move like mine), saving me time and expense. I wholeheartedly recommend NorthStar. If you call them to arrange a move, let Stefy know on the phone that she totally rocks.

Everything went wonderfully with my mother’s recent move from Southern California to the Puget Sound area in Washington state, thanks to the expert support we had from NorthStar (especially from Ron, who went out to my mother’s house and drew up her “not to exceed” quote and paperwork -as well as- the team of highly professional movers working at both the origin and destination locations). I have heard scare stories about moving companies, scammers and rip off artists…and especially with a major cross country move I was apprehensive. I got the referral for Northstar from a coworker who recently moved from Calif to Penns. and she raved over this company… Well, having just this week completed a cross country move of my own, Northstar is truly a wonderful company. I was moving across country from CA to NC so I had called a bunch of places for a quote that . Everywhere I called “estimated’ what my move would cost but could not guarantee a rate, Northstar and 1 other company were the only ones willing to come out and actually write up a formal, accurate quote. Ron Cohen came and provided a bid and a ton of information to me! He clearly is very experienced in this industry and gave me tips and pointed out things I hadn’t even thought about regarding packing/moving. He made me feel very comfortable about the company so I went with them and it was a great decision. He was helpful the whole way, responded quickly to all questions and provided me with updates along the way. The communication was great with delivery as well, the driver called a couple days in advance to set up a delivery date, then called the day before as promised. I will definitely call Ron again and hire Northstar for any future moves!!

I recently moved from LA to NYC and wanted to share the wonderful and stress free experience I had while using NorthStar Moving Corp. To begin, I was any stress I had was immediately alleviated when Ron Cohen came by two weeks before my move. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Before the move, I got a call 24 hours in advance confirming pick up time and another call before my stuff was delivered. As far as the move went; The moving crew arrived on time picking up my stuff in LA, was delivered in NY within 10 days, there were no damages, no hidden fees, and it was fairly priced. On a final note, it was an added touch when I received a call two days later from Ron, checking on how my move went. You can’t beat using NorthStar for a short or long move!

We moved to Seattle from Los Angeles and Northstar made everything easier! Ron Cohen in particular took great care of us at a great price. If you need to move in or from LA, Ron is your guy!
