Moving is always a stressful experience, but it was much alleviated by these guys.
The loading was absolutely fantastic. Leon and his team worked fast, efficiently, and were extremely thorough in wrapping everything — does covering everything with a blanket and then taping over it and then saran wrapping the whole thing count as excessive??
Not only that, they were extremely professional. This was tested by the ridiculous HOA board of our condo, who came into our place twice to berate us and the movers about ‘potentially’ damaging the elevator–which was in no way damaged. They continued to hinder Leon and his team and this got so ridiculous near the end of the process that they had to move our queen sized mattress and box spring down 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. Which they did with a much better attitude than we ourselves had towards the HOA. What a great team of guys. I only hope that the guys unloading our stuff are as great. Thank you guys!
I am moving from Riverside CA all the way to the East coast. It’s already a lot of stress when it comes to changing environment, moving with my wife and two of our cats is even more challenging. David, the Foreman, is very professional and friendly, well explain the process and the paperwork that are needed. I am very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!! I will definitely use their service again in the future if I move back to SoCal.
Working with them was a great experience, and they provided excellent service through the pickup process. They were very flexible and accommodating with my inquiries on price, adding/removing items, and overall provided a great customer experience.
The movers, lead by Gustavo, did a fantastic job! Great customer service, very friendly, asked questions while they were moving items to clarify (if I wanted to pack this item with that item, etc), and managed the minor hiccups with grace and efficiency!

Thank you North Star for making move-out day in San Francisco go smoothly. Manuel, Diego, Adrian, Quincy and Noe were great! They showed up on time. There were no antics about the contract and changing prices. They worked carefully, steadily and quickly. They listened to specific requests I made. They got along with each other, and there were no ugly dynamics among the crew. I would use North Star again anytime!
Moving from SF to SEATTLE was made all the easier with the crew from NorthStar! I was impressed with the service from start to finish. Management was very easy to get a hold of and helpful with all of our insurance questions.
The team that came out to pack the first day and move us the next day was the same group of guys which made it easier on me. Also, they helped me understand why they were packing thing as they did, helping put my mind at ease with regards to all the glass and antiques I have.
The driver that meet me in Seattle was amazing, he truly threaded the needle when parking his 18 wheeler; a true pro! He team of guys he brought along also kicked butt, never once slowing down and always had a smile to give. Thanks guys!
I hired Northstar Movers to move me from my apartment of 17 years in Los Angeles to a new place in Temple, Texas. They were recommended by two unacquainted friends who had used them previously.
First off, Ron came out to my home and gave me a guaranteed flat-rate estimate for what he believed the long distance move would cost. No other moving company came to my home to provide an estimate. Ron was prompt and professional and gave me a fair estimate for the move. As the move day got closer, Ron worked with me to adjust the estimate as I became more clear about exactly what I would be moving to Texas. He lowered the estimate as I reported fewer large items to move.
On moving day, the foreman (Dave) and his crew (Carlos and Rafael) arrived right on schedule. They worked quickly and efficiently to carefully wrap all my precious belongings. Dave took time to explain how every item would be wrapped and carried. He took extra time to answer the MANY questions I had about the move and made me feel secure about the flat rate guarantee. I feel comfortable that my belongings will arrive safely at my new home. I will update after my items arrive at my new home. But. I can’t say enough nice things about the experience I’ve had thus far with Northstar Movers. Dave and his crew rock!!!!!!
My experience with NorthStar was GOOD. Their Team arrived at right time and packed my stuffs very well in blankets. Ana and Adam explained all things correctly and delivered my stuffs properly. Overall a good Moving Company with Great price. I will recommend it.
We had a good experience with NorthStar. It started with the load-day. Our team leader, Jason, and his crew worked hard and were extremely professional. They packed everything super nicely and handled all our valuables with extreme care. It was as if they were packing their own stuff. They even worked through lunch to get our things loaded so we could be on our way (as we were driving south).
For the delivery, they gave us a window of 1-7 days. We called a couple days afterwards and requested to possibly get it delivered as soon as possible. They were able to accommodate our request and we were very pleased. Cesar, the dispatcher was understanding of our situation and made every effort to deliver early.
The delivery itself was a little challenging. They brought the wrong truck so our stuff was not there. We waited about 2 hours for our truck with our stuff on it. John and his crew worked hard to unload our stuff quickly though. They did it in about 2.5 hours which was great.
Moving Tip – One thing to note when they move boxes or furniture, there is no upside down or right side up – they just move it like a plain box. Therefore, things such as our file cabinet – which we had left our files in were moved around upside down so everything was jumbled. I recommend removing items from things such as dressers, file cabinets, etc. prior to moving.
We also had one piece of furniture missing. Customer service has indicated they are looking into it and will contact me within 24-48 hours. Hopefully they find it. I will update again.
UPDATE – they found our missing furniture and are delivering it to us. Again, customer service at NorthStar is great. Cesar, the dispatcher, called me and arranged for the drop-off of the piece. Will definitely use NorthStar again.
Still a 5! After keeping my things in storage for 6 weeks I was finally able to schedule the move from CA to AZ. Adam gave me a window of time since it’s an out of state move. Only took 4days to that time frame for them to call and give me the date. Ivan was in charge, they arrived right on time and did an awesome job! Miguel was a crazy man, lol! Huge muscles. I’ve never seen anyone lift and carry like he did. The entire team were fun, considerate and very careful. Thanks guys
