This was my first time using a moving company. After being in my AZ home for over 20 years, moving and downsizing to a California apartment was pretty daunting. The folks at NorthStar were great at helping me through the process. They were on time and their follow up and follow through were great. They packed some expensive art items I wasn’t sure how to handle and everything showed up in tact. They put together items they dismantled and set all furniture where we needed it. Moving day is one of the MOST dreaded days everyone ever experiences. As the ‘largest man’ in my immediate family — I have probably had to move 20 times in the last 10 years, my wife, my sisters, even helping friends, always me doing 90% of the work — NIGHTMARE!!! NOT the case with North Star at all — the most amazing hands off experience I have ever had!!! I worked from my laptop 90% of the time because it was a Friday! They packaged everything for us, perfectly wrapped everything in blankets, took down desks, took things off walls, everything — and quickly!

My wife and I were moving back to Norcal from LA and we moved 1 house and 1 full 2,500 sq ft. office into 1 house and 1 huge 5,000 sq ft office — all faster than I could have ever done it even with the help of my employees.

Now I have to take a moment to give a shout out to Fred, Josh & Lloyd. While they do not understand that Steph Curry is better than Ray Allen could ever be at basketball — they are all hilarious and awesome to work with, and were extremely nice and worked quickly. I could not possibly give them a better review — 6 stars of it was possible! I would like literally hang out and grab a beer with these guys if they didn’t still live in LA.

Michael Pomeroy and NorthStar have been easy to work with and very professional. I appreciate the time they have taken with me and the personal touch to ensure my moving needs are taken care of.

We just retired, sold our house in Fremont and are getting ready to move to a new home in Las Vegas. We used NorthStar for our previous move, were happy with their service then and called them again to help us move to Nevada. I spoke with Stefy Nudel, who was very helpful, and set up an appointment for an on site estimate at our house for later in the week.

Project Manager Michael Pomeroy came out to our house on time and compiled an inventory of our items on his computer. He let us know that he would have an estimate on the cost of our move either later in the day or the next day, which worked for me.

Michael also answered all of my questions about our long distance move, which gave me great confidence that NorthStar would again make our move go smoothly.

While I haven’t written many Yelp reviews as yet, since retiring, I’ve decided to document the services we’ve received on our home sale and purchase, and related activities. Stay tuned.
