Long Distance Move

We decided last minute to locate a long distance moving company instead of trailering it ourselves.  My son moved from West Palm Beach to Orange Beach, Al. And Northstar gave us a great estimate plus advice of storing the furniture in Boca until he finds an apartment near his job.  We took them up on the advice and everything went smoothly.  The movers were very nice and helped my son tremendously. I would recommend NorthStar Moving to anyone looking for a good safe and worry free move. 
We hope the furniture will only store up for a month but we are confident it is safe.  It certainly is better than moving it into a storage unit then hiring more movers to take it to his new place.
We have moved several times and this was the best move of all.

NorthStar Moving & Storage packed up our household in Los Angeles, moved us from Los Angeles, CA to Terrebonne, OR, and partially unpacked our household goods in Oregon, putting some of the goods into a separate storage facility (7 miles from our house). The move went spectacularly well.  NorthStar coordinated extensively with us by phone and email through multiple changes of the move date (due to our problems not theirs) with total courtesy and professionalism.  The packing crew showed up on time and was friendly, professional, efficient, and respectful of us and our goods. We have moved a number of times and this was best moving crew we have ever had.  The goods were delivered exactly on schedule to our new home and arrived in near perfect condition.  We had absolutely minimal damage to our goods, by far the least damage to our household goods of any move we have made.  Post-move Northstar was responsive and settled the minimal claims quickly and to our satisfaction.  Their price for the move was comparable to that of the other quotes we got for the move and no extra charges or fees were applied.  Their original quote on the move was what we paid.

We moved from Los Angeles to Portland, and North Star was wonderful to work with. Pick up was unbelievably fast, professional and on time, and delivery was just as good. This was our first time working with long distance movers and we would wholeheartedly recommend North Star. Ron Cohen helped organize our move and he was the best! Just wish they did short distance moves on our town so that we could use them again for our next move!

First review – Pickup of my stuff was outstanding. Orlando and Eduardo were quick, efficient, on time and personable. Made the pickup of my things much easier.
