My first encounter with Gadi and North Star occurred several years ago when I worked for Angelina Jolie as her personal assistant. This particular move occurred during a time of personal stress for Ms. Jolie, and the tabloids were hovering around her house. At one point the paparazzi tried to bribe several of the North Star movers with a hefty amount of cash. Not only did the guys turn down the bribe, they promptly told the photographers what they could do with the money! With no other incentive other than professionalism, both Gadi and the crew did everything to ensure Ms. Jolie’s privacy during the subsequent two full days of packing and moving. And if that wasn’t enough, their skills at wrapping, packing and loading everything from large odd-shaped objects to fine china, was – and is – superb.

From that time on I have worked with Gadi and North Star on every move I’ve been involved with, both professional and personal. They approach every job with the same level of high-quality service no matter how “high profile” or “low profile” the client may be. Case in point: I didn’t think they would want to handle my little 2 bedroom apartment move after working with so many VIP’s, but that wasn’t true! I received the same level of service as my celebrity employers have.

Although moving can be stressful even under the most pleasant of circumstances, know that the stress of moving has been eliminated when you work with Gadi and North Star.

I paid $320 for a three man crew to move us into a 3rd floor apartment on Saturday, December 11th.

The three guys you sent out were beyond awesome. They worked like their shorts were on fire! Not once did I see any of the three stop or slow down. It was the most amazing effort I’ve ever seen. They emptied our two bedroom apartment in less than one hour and took painstaking care to package both of our televisions.

We inherited a 48″ tv that our “friends” didn’t want to move again for us. Two of these guys put the tv on a dolly and moved it to the 3rd floor without incident. They told us that they moved a piano during their morning move that day. That’s a heck of a lot of lifting for one day…these guys are really good workers.

They unloaded all of our things in an hour and a half and we made it under the 3 hour minimum. My husband and I were so relieved and happy that we chose NorthStar.

We filled out a request for moving quotes from the MoveCenter at www.Rent.com. We received 8 phone calls from moving companies. The hourly rates ranged from $65-$96 with North Star being the most expensive. North Star was one of the few companies to actually send the emails we requested. The top deciding factors for us were:

Now, we know that we made the right choice and it was well worth the extra cost.

It was a bit of a last minute assignment due to escrow problems but your company provided an excellent and fair quote. When the young men and trucks showed up (on time) they were pleasant, courteous and wonderful workers. I actually saw them running to pack things, there was no time wasted, no socializing and they really worked hard. We are very precises about things and worked very hard ont he moving prep, to see our possessions taken care of in such a professional and careful manner (particularly my antique hutch) was a delight and to see young men work so hard trying to do the best for us was an even bigger delight.

I am writing you to thank you for your professionalism and incredible care in moving my furniture, expensive photography and glassware collections as well as everything else that I own. I am writing this letter to express my family’s sincere gratitude and thanks for the incredibly professional job that your men performed while moving our family, not once but three times since September 9th 2001. I must tell you that the Project Manager on all of the jobs. Gadi Avigzer, is really one of the most honorable and professional men that I have worked with in quite some time. We became friends the first time we met. He has such a natural way of putting people at ease. Before you know it, several hours have passed and we have discussed everything from proper packing technique to politics. The fact that he is devoted to his family and friends here and in Israel is another reason that I respect him so highly. The first move he arranged for us was particularly emotional and stressful for me because my husband was working in London and I had to oversee the move without him. I found out later that Gadi made a special note of this on the paperwork for his crew, telling them that I was “stressed and nervous” and to treat me with special care, which they did. He also gave me his home number and told me to call with any worries I had, day or night. I definitely took him up on it. We moved into a temporary house until our house in Pacific Palisades was available. We decided to move back to our old neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley for various reasons. We found our current house, a beautiful property in Toluca Lake and again Gadi and his crew ,came to pack us up and move us. During the packing up process one of the men found our 14-year-old daughter’s wallet on the floor, which contained $600 cash. He brought it to me without hesitation because that is the type of man that works for your company. Since our daughter will be going to college shortly we have decided to buy an apartment or condo overlooking the ocean in Santa Monica. Needless to say once again we will be calling Northstar, Gadi, and his crew to negotiate the move for us. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am writing to thank you and all of the staff of Northstar Moving Corporation for the excellent moving service Northstar has provided to me over the course of three moves.

I have relocated throughout the United States many times since 1982 for my career; in fact, I have moved every year since 1994. I have worked with most of the major carriers in the U.S. for local and long distance moves. I was very lucky to find your advertising banner on Move.com in 2001 when I needed to move locally in the San Francisco Bay Area.

From my first call to Ted, who coordinates Northstar’s local moves, through the completion of the move itself, I was treated with respect; my goods were handled carefully and efficiently; and I was charged a very fair price. Therefore, when I decided to move locally in 2002 I called Northstar and again had an excellent moving experience.

Recently I relocated to Washington, DC and I called Northstar to arrange for this long-distance move. I had the opportunity to work with you and with Kimberly of Moishe’s Moving Systems in New York City, and you both coordinated the relocation excellently. But the real stars of the show were the supervisors of the moving pick-up and delivery, Erez in California for Northstar and Omri in Washington, DC for Moishe’s.

I knew that Northstar’s teams prepare and load customers’ goods with care, but I was unprepared for the extent that Erez and his team would go to in ensuring that my furniture was protected during this long-distance move. I do not have expensive or antique furniture, but Erez and his team wrapped every piece of furniture as if each was invaluable.

When Omri and his helper delivered the furniture in Washington, DC, they could not do enough to make sure that each item was positioned where I wanted it and that I was satisfied with their work. And they finished the unloading in less than two hours.

Finally, I was most pleasantly surprised by the cost of this move. With the quality of your moving services, I expected to pay much more than I did!

Mr. Katalan, I have only one regret. I wish Northstar had an affiliate in Washington, DC for local moves since I expect to move locally again next year. I know that my future moving companies will never meet the customer service standards set by Northstar Moving Corporation since Northstar is the Best!

In June I moved partially from Burbank to the Palm Desert area (Indio).

I am in Real Estate and am often asked whom to use for a moving company. Until I had personal experience with you company; I never referred anyone to a moving company.

First, you moved clients of mine, Vito and Marlene Urcinoli. They are an older couple who moved from Toluca Lake to Indio. Your men were so caring and patient and helpful to them. It was very stressful for them and your men made their move so much easier.

I recently underwent vascular and heart surgery and was recovering when Sam came to my house and gave me an estimate. Also, your men were courteous, helpful, and considerate and did not waste time.
