I’ve had the pleasure of moving roughly ten times over the last decade, so I consider myself a bit of an expert on moving services. For background on my experience, I was moving a small one bedroom apartment’s worth of items, and it took them 6 hours total, with a stop in between to drop some items off at storage. This crew was hard-working and did a thorough job of protecting and packing all my items. (My last move, for context, damaged ALL of my furniture, and I spent 5 months trying to resolve the claim. NOT enjoyable.) They also arrived early, which was a huge help when you have an afternoon slot! Additionally, it was very affordable, and they were able to accommodate me with only a week or so notice. Overall, would really recommend them!

Jason and team were as good as it gets. They were quick, professional and highly skilled it was a life saver Worth the money, i would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

The moving team Joseph, Juan and Anthony arrived right on time. They immediately took a look at the location and the amount of items that needed to be moved and begun wrapping the furniture with blankets, then proceeded to move boxes and clearing the room one by one. In just under one hour the entire apartment was packed into the truck. Immediately we went to the destination 30 minutes away. The team then once again, unloaded the furniture carefully and completed the entire move slightly over 3hrs. They took no breaks and were professional and delicate with the boxes. Definitely a very well trained team.

I can’t even express how easy and stress free our move was. Our last move was an absolute nightmare and we were really nervous about having another bad experience. I picked Northstar based on their great reviews here on yelp. And thankfully these great reviews were accurate!

I was already stressed about this move because I’m 8 months pregnant, but these guys were so great and the price was so reasonable, as well as things being done efficiently and professionally and in a timely manner. I will for sure use them again the next time we move and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company!!

This is the first review i’ve every written on Yelp but was called to do so because NorthStar was so great! The movers showed up early which worked out well for me but they were clear that if i wasn’t ready they would wait and start at the agree’d time no problem.  They were really nice and professional and they worked very fast and super hard, were accommodating to all my various requests to do things this way or that, didn’t damage anything and on the move in put everything exactly where i wanted it, even when that meant moving a few of the larger pieces a couple times.  Totally worth every dime!

I had a smallish move within San Francisco and went with NorthStar based on the Yelp reviews and their excellent Yelp deal.  I couldn’t have been happier with everything.  I called only a week or two before I needed to move and they had one of the days I requested.  The three guys were really polite, efficient, and nice.  At my new place, the guys asked where I wanted everything. At the end of the the move, they even put my bed frame together and put the mattresses on it!

I used NorthStar Moving Company in late November to move from San Francisco to Mill Valley. I have nothing but great things to say about the service and professionalism I experienced with the company. The team was punctual, courteous and professional the entire time and made sure I was completely satisfied with the handling and arrangement of my things. I HIGHLY recommend these guys and will certainly be using them again if I ever have to move.

We chose North Star based on their Yelp ratings and reviews, and we then had a great moving experience with them.  Our team (Ariel, Jadiel, Isaack M, and Javier) were all professional, and we had a zero-damage move.  They arrived on time, and we got the move done several hours faster than estimated, so it came in approximately $500 under the estimate.  Everyone I interacted with at North Star was professional, from the original phone receptionist, to the estimator, and to the movers themselves. I’d highly recommend them for Los Angeles moves.
