The manager Nemer and his crew were great! Efficient, fast, took care with the furniture and were very friendly to boot!

I don’t normally write reviews online, but I felt compelled to rave about the wonderful service I received. The 3 man crew arrived on time and went to work immediately. Even after working 10 hours, they still remained positive and incredibly helpful. Very patient. Very professional. I am incredibly thankful.
We just moved TODAY and these guys were the absolute best. They were very quick and took special care of all of our belongings. They were also on time and have us a half hour heads up before their arrival. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for movers. Fantastic job all around! Thanks John and team!
Nowadays Professionalism is uncommon in movers. They were very professional not only in their work but in their etiquette also. They managed everything as if he was moving his belongings. This is the best moving experience i have ever ever had!! Nimer was nice, helpful and on his game. they were super fast and effecient. I think that if anyone wants a great deal, movers that are trustful,quick, really nice and hustle perfectly, Northstar is definitely worth giving a try! I know that I will never use another company besides them again!
Recently moved from a 3rd story 2 bedroom condo in RB to a 1 story SFH in the LBC. Our time slot was 8AM to 10AM. The crew arrived at 8:20AM. The crew was very polite and did an excellent job wrapping up all of our items very carefully. It took a little longer packing the truck because of the elevator. We moved on a Friday thinking the elevator wouldn’t be used as much. We were wrong. Once we got to the house, the crew had the truck unloaded and everything in our house and were on the road by 5PM. They did a very good job at remembering where each item was to go in the house and if were unsure asked us where exactly we wanted the item. Nothing was damaged, which was a first for me. We were quoted a Not To Exceed time and amount. The lead mover did a pretty good job with the NTE amount. He quoted 8.5 hours at a NTE amount of $1000. The move took 7.75 hours and after the add for the materials they used ($57 for tape and wrapping plastic), drive time, the tip, lunch provided and then deducted the Yelp deal we bought….the total was right around $1000. That was our goal from the beginning and were very pleased we hit our goal. Anytime we move again, we will be using NorthStar. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family as they were recommended to us by our friends.
Absolutely the best moving experience that I have been through (and I have been through a lot of them 6 in 6 years). It started with the first phone call to Alma in the office. She explained the process and the hour minimums along with the California double drive time law. She then followed up and explained the yelp deal when I asked about how it worked. Excellent customer service. Next was the crew who I thought were going to be milking the time to get more hours, but they ended up loading everything up and wrapping and protecting my stuff better than I was doing it and way faster. They charged me for tape ($7.00 total) , which was explained on the first phone call and again when the crew showed up, but it’s totally understandable because they have their liability and want to make sure everything is done right so nothing breaks. Blankets and other items that are reused were not charged for.
Great move, a million times better than me getting a u haul and paying practically the same price and spending triple the time. Thanks again Alma and the moving crew.

This review is about a year and a half late, but better late than never! I used NorthStar in late summer 2012 to move some furniture from the house to a storage area in my garage. They took great care with the wrapping and moving of each piece. The price was fair, the guys were nice & courteous, and overall it was a really good experience. I’d use them again.
I’ve used NorthStar Movers 3 times now. The first 2 times I had great moving crews that were fast, efficient, courteous, and took care of my stuff. The last time, not so much. However, when Wendy (the Sr. manager there) found out about my lousy experience she made things right. In fact, she went above and beyond what would have been fair. You could tell that she really does care about the customers and seeing to it that people end up with a good experience. She didn’t respond like a hotel front desk clerk (a job I once had while in college, so I’m not knocking it) by just trying to adjust the bill and move you out of the way. She took time to call and discuss various aspects about the move that went both good and bad. She was equally concerned that credit would be given to her employees for the things they did positively, as well as the critical things that needed to be addressed. She wanted to know not only what was bad about my experience, but also what I thought could have been done to make it better; what could have helped this crew reflect the same positive feelings I had from the previous moves I’d done with them. In today’s bottom-line, corporate world it was truly refreshing to have someone treat me – the customer – like a person instead of just another number. True customer service is a dying art these days, but something I am more than pleased to have experienced with NorthStar movers – enough to make me think for a moment we were in a town where everyone knows everyone and looks out for one another, but oh yeah this is LA!! As I mentioned before I had moved with these guys twice before and owed 5 star reviews for that, but for whatever reason had been too lazy to write. While my latest experience didn’t initially compare to that, the follow up customer service turned it into 5 stars. For that I feel this overdue 5 star review was necessary. Thank you, Wendy, for reminding why I keep coming back to use NorthStar Movers. Not that I want to move again anytime soon, but when I do I look forward to using NorthStar.
