Family-owned, our co-founders bring together their expertise in operations & customer relations –

Co-Founder & CEO Ram Katalan: Born in Israel, Ram came to the U.S. when he was 22 years old. He started as a mover at a New York based moving company and worked his way up from mover to team leader, and then operations manager. A mover since 1986, Ram ventured to the west coast to fill a gap in the industry, co-founding NorthStar Moving.

Co-Founder & Marketing Director Laura McHolm: Laura started her career in marketing at Atari during its early days and later became a corporate intellectual property lawyer after law school. She decided to move away from the Fortune 500 to fulfill her entrepreneurial spirit, making the unique leap to apply her marketing and customer relations skills to the moving industry, creating a company that puts clients first.
