Hi y’all! How’s it going? Claire here! So many great opportunities have happened to in the last couple of months. I was on a docuseries on the CW called My Last Days where I talked about my life with cystic Claire :)fibrosis. It’s been a pretty cool ride so far. Another awesome addition to my rollercoaster life is that I recently found out that on October 27, I will be presented the 2016 Youth Award at the Annual World of Children Awards Ceremony.  You’re probably wondering what the World of Children is, huh? It’s an amazing charity that has funded lots of programs to improve the lives of many children. This year, they’ll be having their fancy, beautiful gala in New York City. You can say I’m pretty excited. Not only is it an honor to be awarded, but I’ll also be surrounded by people who are passionate about changing the lives of children all over the world.

This year, I will be accepting the 2016 Youth Award for the Claire’s Place Foundation. This foundation is very close to my heart, not only because I started it but because I’ve personally witnessed how it has helped the lives of others who are living with cystic fibrosis like me. Families no longer have to worry about any pending bills, more patients can afford to have treatments covered and other medical devices to make living with cystic fibrosis a bit easier.

The World of Children is not only helping my charity, but also aiding other foundations that donate time and money to improve the quality of life of kids who are in need. I am honored to be awarded with all these other great heroes who, like me, want to make a better tomorrow for our future generation.
