In life, we’ll go through ups and downs, but it’s always important to stay positive. If we start thinking in a positive manner, we start to create good energy that not only benefits us, but also those around us. Here are some thoughts to get you started on your journey to positivity.
Help out the community
Do something positive for your community! Start a food and clothing drive that will help people in need. The winter can be challenging to those who are less fortunate, and could use a nice coat or pair of pants. Get your friends and family to donate any unwanted clothes.
Be someone’s mentor
Everyone could use someone to look up to. Whether if it’s life or career advice, mentoring is always a rewarding experience for both mentee and mentor. If you feel like you have the potential to guide someone, do it to help that person become a better version of themselves. This way you will know you’re doing your job as a citizen and making the world a better place.
Recycle
Mother Nature will love you for this one. Have any recyclable items such as empty plastic bottles and junk mail lying around your house? Gather them and put them in your blue recycling bin. If you don’t have a recycling bin, contact your waste hauler to provide you with one.
Write in your journal
At the end of each day, write down in your journal anything that comes to mind. Whether it be a recap of the day’s events or something fascinating that you just came up with, write it down. When you’re feeling down, you can always go back and read it. It’ll instantly brighten up your day by going over happy thoughts you had in the past.
Treat yourself
Having sweet-tooth cravings from the ice cream joint down the street? Go for it! Get as many scoops and toppings as you wish. Make yourself happy. The universe will later thank you for all your good deeds.
