Hi everyone! Happy Summer! Can’t believe it’s already July. This year is going by fast. I’m so excited for all the great summer events. 4th of July is always a fun time of year. Fireworks, barbeques, and best of all friends and family! Still haven’t figured out what you’re doing yet? It’s not too late to figure it out. Let’s take a look at what’s poppin’ this year for 4th of July in Los Angeles.
4th of July AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl
Head over to the Rose Bowl this 4th of July for the 4th of July AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl. Get there early to find parking (lot opens at 10:00am). Enjoy food and festivities then settle in for the firework show at 9:05pm.
Independence Day in Leimert
Get moving to the Vision Theatre in Leimert Park. Celebrate the 4th with Jazz and Blues for free. There will be plenty of fun for the entire family, with arts and crafts, food, and free watermelon! It takes place from 1:00pm-7:00pm.
Independence Day in Westchester
Pop on over to Westchester for their annual 4th of July parade. There will be over over 1,000 participants! Check out the floats, marching bands, and performers for all over the country. Best of all it’s free!
All American 4th of July on the Queen Mary
Celebrate Independence Day with a multi-era tribute on the Queen Mary. Each room will house a different era, starting with the 1920’s all the way to today. There will be multiple DJs as well as live music. Stay for the fireworks at 9:00pm and go out with a bang!
BBQ at the Aquarium of the Pacific
Visit the Aquarium of the Pacific and enjoy a bbq and show. There will be a buffet and plenty of desserts. Visit the aquarium at night and check out the fireworks from the Queen Mary. Yum yum and whole lot of fun! Who doesn’t love a good bbq?
Long Beach Kids’ Bike Parade
Grab your bikes, crafts and costumes and get moving to beach. Head to Long Beach for the free bike parade! There will be several competitions taking place. Dress up and be part of the fun! Participate in the watermelon seed spitting competition or the costume contest. Be there at 10:00am for the parade and stay for the competitions afterward.
