New to LA? What better way to learn about your local community than go on a tour? Each month the Do Good Bus hosts a public community ride throughout Los Angeles. Volunteering is easy, just find their next meeting location and bring $35 to donate. The bus will take you to a mystery location somewhere in the LA community, and that’s when the fun begins. Activities can be anything from starting a community garden to cleaning up the local beach. They typically range from 4 to 5 hours and provide lunch. A portion of your $35 donation will go towards that day’s activity. Explore your community while doing some good!
Do GOODers Unite
LA is full of variety. It’s not just a city; it’s a community of people from around the world. Not sure how you can help? Don’t worry; there are several ways you can “do good” in your community. Through the Do Good organization, you can help out at the neighborhood nursing home or pre-school. If you’re more of a hands-on person, you could facilitate a community arts and crafts fair or help build a tree house. For those of you that are animal lovers, you can volunteer at a local shelter. You could even start your own community forest, and create a better a environment for future generations to come. There are plenty of categories to choose from. No matter what you enjoy, there’s something for everyone.
Get the Party Started in Your Community
Have an upcoming birthday? Ever wanted to know what it’s like to party like a rock star? Why wonder when you can find out! Get together 20 or more friends, classmates or co-workers and you can host a private ride through your community on a rented DO GOOD PARTY BUS. You can rent one with the intention of participating in a DO GOOD activity or just for fun and have a portion of your proceeds go to one of the DO GOOD causes.
Don’t just sit around watching everyone else enjoy giving back. Join the fun, do some good, and become a part of the community!
