Spring break comes at different times for all of us, but when it does come, it sure is fun! We all need a break every now and then, right? While some people think a break means sleeping all day, I beg to differ. Spring break should be full of super fun memories! If you’re looking for ways to create spring break memories for the whole family, you’ve come to the right place! Here are some of my favorite ways to get moving and enjoy your spring break with friends and family:
Spring Break Sport Camps
Spring break is the perfect time to learn a new skill! For example, one of my favorite spring break memories was going to surf camp. There are probably tons of different spring break sports camps to choose from in your neighborhood. Don’t know where to start your search? Try review sites like Yelp, ask around at school, check out the local YMCA, or even ask your Facebook friends for recommendations. A spring break spent moving is a spring break well spent!
Spring Break Art Projects
Even if your spring break involves a spring shower that keeps you inside, you can still have fun! Express your creative side, and make some cool artwork to commemorate your spring break. Here are some of my favorite ways to make some magical spring break art: painting with eco bubble, ice cube painting, melted crayon art, and corn syrup painting.
Going on vacation for spring break? Make some cool postcards beforehand using some of these spring break painting ideas so you can send your friends postcards from your vacation spot!
If you’re running low on school supplies, you can use your spring break to replenish with these fun DIY and green supplies!
Spring Break Gardening
Spring break is the perfect time to start a spring garden! Grab the whole family, and start a family vegetable garden. Each person can have their own section of the garden, and you can even have a competition to see whose veggies grow the fastest! The winner gets to create their very own eponymous salad for a special winner’s dinner later on in the year. Sounds fun to me!
Spring Break Exploring
Spring break is also a great time to have a staycation and explore the great parks and museums around Los Angeles! If you’re looking for nature, Descano Gardens and The Huntington Gardens are guaranteed kid favorites. There are tons of great museums in the area that teenagers will enjoy. Again, if you’re stumped for cool places to explore, ask around the neighborhood to see where other people are spending their spring break staycations.
Spring Break Moving
