Not everyone can claim they’ve moved a mansion, but at NorthStar Moving, it’s all part of a day’s work. All of our moves are special to us (some are even hush-hush, so I can’t talk about them! Shhh) but sometimes, the sheer spectacle of moving a mansion is jaw dropping! It’s hard to pick favorites when you move thousands of awesome clients every year, but these mansion homes definitely rank near the top!
Maybe you’ve heard of Fleur de Lys—it’s the mansion to end all mansions. In fact, it just set a record in Los Angeles as the most expensive single family home ever sold; it went for a whopping $102 million in cash. You can see an amazing inside look at the mansion from an HGTV show in 2009. We even handled a production move for a superhero when we moved things for The Green Hornet movie at this mansion. Super cool, right?
We’ve moved this mansion numerous times—and every time, there’s been another exciting production taking place at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch. From The Biggest Loser to the Sex and the City movie, this is a mansion we’ve had major experience carefully packing up and transforming into a work of camera-ready art.
Villa De La Vina isn’t your traditional bachelor pad, but we did production moves for The Bachelor here. Anyone looking for the perfect venue to find Ms. Right would agree this mansion is elegant and romantic. And, talk about a great view from a mansion! Check out the official mansion galleries to get a better idea of what it was like working in this amazing place.
