July 4th is this Friday! I can’t get enough of the parades, quality family and friends time and yummy July 4th barbeque. Mmmm. Whether you’re looking to have a July 4th full of excitement or a relaxed Independence Day, the Bay Area has a July 4th event just for you. Let’s check out some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s July 4th events:
For the Firework Enthusiasts:
July 4th Celebration at the Pier
Love July 4th fireworks? The most iconic fireworks to catch on July 4th are set off by the City of San Francisco from the end of Pier 39. Fireworks over water are pretty stunning. The dazzling show starts at 9:30PM, but there’s fun for the whole family all day. Starting at noon, you can catch live music and participate in other July 4th activities at the Pier.
Live in Berkeley? Catch July 4th fireworks from the Berkeley Pier! The Berkeley Marina July 4th celebration sounds like it’s just as much fun!
For the Parade Watchers:
Sausalito July 4th Festivities
Love a good ol’ fashioned July 4th parade with a little extra fun? Then check out the city of Sausalito on July 4th! The parade has floats and bands. Sure. But, it also has acrobats, clowns, balloons, flowers and classic cars. Sounds awesome! The city hosts fun events all day long, so make sure to stay for the live music, food and games like egg toss.
Of course, there are many other July 4th parades to see. Fun fact: the Alameda July 4th Parade claims to be the longest one in the whole country! The July 4th parade is a whole 3.3. miles long!!
For the Fair Folks:
Nothing is more American than a county fair! Celebrate July 4th at the Marin County Fair in San Rafael. There will be fireworks, the Chinese Circus of Beijing, the Clover Stornetta Family Farm (lots of fun animals!), carnival rides and more!
For the Aspiring Singers:
Downtown Campbell July 4th Celebration
Sing your heart out in Downtown Campbell on the afternoon of July 4th. To celebrate July 4th, there will be family-style karaoke and crafts from noon to 3pm. Sounds like a fun way to spend your lunch break!
For the Car Lovers:
Love classic cars? Celebrate July 4th in Antioch with their car show! Did you know Antioch was founded on July 4th? Naturally, this city goes all out on its birthday. There’s food, craft vendors, a kid’s zone, fireworks and even a skating rink. Sounds like fun!
