Hey, guys! It’s Claire! How is everyone doing? I know I haven’t posted anything in a while, but I have been super busy. There has been so much going on in my life. I can’t complain, though! I’m so lucky I get to be a part of such incredible experiences.
Just recently, I was featured in Ladies’ Home Journal with NorthStar Moving’s Co-Founder, Laura McHolm. It was an incredible honor! I still can’t believe it. Being featured in this big time magazine reminded me that I have done something, and that feeling is pretty amazing. I have also been busy getting ready for the holidays! It’s my favorite time of the year. I love all of the decorations and fun things we get to do. My friends and I get together and make a bunch of little holiday-inspired crafts! It’s the best.
I am so grateful for my amazing friends and the people I meet every day who see the universe as a canvas on which to paint away. I have been lucky to meet many people like that. Speaking of paint, I have really been enjoying amazing water color paints and making collages in my spare time. I guess I can say I’m grateful for inspiration!
Since I’m still in the Thanksgiving spirit, I also want to say I am very grateful for the part of us that can never let us down, for rooftop decks and for the brilliant invention that is legs. I am grateful for my amazing mom, and I am grateful that I’m going to high school this year (even though it can be a pain sometimes). I also love to travel! Even though we may not realize it, being able to travel the world and see more than the city we are born in is pretty incredible. Those are just some of the things I’m grateful for when it comes to the holidays.
It’s hard to believe another year has already gone by! Did you know that studies have been done on how New Year’s resolutions cause more stress and self-hate rather than setting weekly and monthly goals throughout the year? I know–it’s crazy! I can believe it, though. I mean, we can’t plan out a whole year and say who we will be or if our needs will change. My idea of the best resolution is to love who you are. When you think about it that’s probably the hardest resolution there is.
