It is that time of year, time to get moving on to bigger and better things. That’s right, it’s graduation season! Congratulations to all of the graduates of 2013 from all of us here at NorthStar Moving. Our very own Rachel from NorthStar Moving is graduating this year, and we’re so ecstatic! We can’t wait to see how these graduates are going to change the world for the better!
A great way to show them that their hard work paid off is to get them a graduation present. Many college students these days are all about going green and changing the world. So when you’re looking for a gift to give, make sure they’re green.
For the Sentimental Graduate: A digital camera can help you create a great scrapbook. They are even programs online that’ll help you create a scrapbook digitally saving paper but preserving those great memories. Talk about a great green idea.
For the Green Thumb Graduate: Consider giving them some organic seeds and a gardening book to help them start their own organic garden. If they have no space, consider giving them an organic herb plant or some organic flowers to get them started.
For the Adventurous Graduate: Send them off to see the world! An eco-trip is always a fantastic idea. If your graduate is all about volunteering, there’s this great thing called Voluntourism. Volunteer and help out while you travel the world and see greener shores!
For the Giving Graduate: Consider donating in the name of your graduate to their favorite charity. Here are some of my favorite organizations if you need inspiration.
For the Green Graduate: An eco-friendly charger! The Mushroom Green Zero Wall Travel Charger will automatically shut off after your iPod, iPhone, or whichever device you use is fully charged. There are also lots of great solar powered chargers for all your usb plug ins. Either one is a great green idea for any green graduate.
For the Reading Graduate: Electronic readers lighten the book load and storage. If they already have one, give them a gift certificate to buy more books.
Hopefully this’ll give you some ideas on what to get your green graduate! If you’re looking for more ways to have a green graduation, check out this post. Once again, congrats to all the green graduates out there. You did it!
