The Sporting Events of Dublin, Ireland

If there’s one thing that the Irish love the most, it is probably sports. In Dublin, Ireland they play many different sports, some of which may be unfamiliar to Americans. In Ireland the most popular sports are: Gaelic football (best described as a mix of soccer and American football), hurling, football (our soccer), and rugby. Both Gaelic football and hurling are sports that were founded in Ireland and are loads of fun to watch if you’re looking for good craic.  Any of these sports can be watched at the pub, home, or a restaurant in Dublin, Ireland. Even better, you can attend these matches at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, which has been called “the heart of Ireland’s sports for over 100 years.”
