Didn’t I say to look out for more updates? Last May, I got to do an amazing show on the Hallmark Channel called “Home & Family.” It was so much fun! I felt so special. It was hilarious. I got a trailer and a makeup artist! AND it was in the middle of Universal Studios, so we got to take a little golf cart ride and go to all of the studios. I couldn’t help but think how spectacular my life was. I got to do these amazing things while my friend was doing her finals. (I was able to go, because I had completed my tests earlier.) I was riding around where the Grinch Stole Christmas was filmed and the Bates Motel set and watching things behind the scenes. At that moment, Cystic Fibrosis had no negative effects on my life.
I’ve gotten pretty skilled at one-on-one and two-on-one interviews. At first interviews were intimidating, but now I’m getting used to them. I don’t get clammy anymore. This was one of the first super professional interviews besides news stations. Those are professional but not so enclosed. There were people everywhere you look, it was kind of crazy! Someone would be in front of me fanning me. There were different drink people for different drinks, there was someone who handled all the water and all the cokes, and it was all very interesting. It was very crowded too!
I think there is something to be said for the fact that having challenges put in your life can take you amazing places. I would have never had that fun experience if it wasn’t for Cystic Fibrosis and the foundation. It was so much fun!
