I love the feeling of fall in the air! Black cats, orange pumpkins, trick or treating, and tons of LA Halloween Events! Anyone living and moving in Los Angeles knows that Halloween is a huge holiday! With all the movie magic, special affects, set designers, and aspiring actors, it is no wonder that Los Angeles celebrates Halloween with passion. It’s time to get moving to some LA Halloween events!
LA Halloween Family Fun
Almost every theme park has a Halloween celebration. During the day, take your families to Knott’s Camp Spooky, Disney’s HalloweenTime, or Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland.
Consider checking out some local Halloween festivals for family fun. There’s the Halloween Harvest Festival at Pierce College with fun activities for the kids. There’s also the unofficial Hollywood Halloween Street Fair! Kids can trick or treat from shop to shop on Hollywood Blvd. LA Halloween events can be just as much fun without the scare!
LA Halloween Scares
If you’re looking to get extremely scared, the LA Halloween events to attend are at Universal Studios Hollywood – Horror Nights, Knott’s Haunt, and Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest. Lots of mazes with amazing special effects that’ll keep you moving in fear!
There’s more than theme parks for a LA Halloween. We’ve got hay rides, haunted ships, and haunted houses galore. The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride at the Old Zoo at Griffith Park will keep you on edge! Or maybe head to Pasadena and the historical Union Savings Bank Building for an Old Town Haunt. The Queen Mary Dark Harbor Halloween Terror Fest in Long Beach features frightening mazes, all-age dance parties, and live band performances. If you’re looking for more scares, here’s a list of LA Halloween haunts.
LA Halloween for Pets
Get moving to the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade! Dress up your pooch and join the parade in Long Beach to be a part of the World’s largest Halloween pet event. This fun day is not only a parade with pet adoptions, best costume contest for kids and pets, it’s also a LA Halloween event for charity!
Dia De Los Muertos
While not technically a Halloween event, Dia De Los Muertos is an important day of celebration that many in LA celebrate. Head to the 12th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival on Main Street Canoga Park for a great time seeing and experiencing the culture of Dia De Los Muertos. There’s also the 13th Annual “Dia De Los Muertos” will be held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary.
