Why does packing always seem like a bigger job than it really is?
It can be a chore in itself, but a lot of the stress of packing probably comes from the stress of not really knowing what you need when you get to where you’re going.
Below are some helpful packing techniques that will make it easier to pack your suitcase efficiently and keep your clothes in tip-top shape when you’re on the go.
How to pack fragile items
Use clothing as a pillow
Wrap fragile items in thick, durable clothing. Put them in the center of your bag surrounded by a “cushion,” says Laura McHolm, co-founder of NorthStar Moving, a Los Angeles-based company that moves 5,000 people (and their precious china) every year. If you’re carrying bottles of alcoholic beverages, clip them to the bottom center of your bag.
