Global Green USA – the American arm of Green Cross International – was founded by Diane Meyer Simon in 1993. For the past six years, Global Green has collaborated with the Hollywood community to raise global awareness of Smart Climate Solutions -- from celebrities driving green cars to the Oscars to building green homes, buying green products and voting for green political leaders. Global Green is the only national environmental group headquartered in Southern California and has offices in New Orleans and Washington, DC. Global Green Calls Upon All Americans to Serve their Community and Fight Climate Change by Helping Green Schools Through Service Opportunities (e.g., tree planting, refurbishing with healthy paints, creating edible gardens, etc.) and Urging School Districts to Access Green School Funds in the Stimulus Package.

The Global Green's 7th Annual Pre-Oscar Party was held at the Avalon in Hollywood on March 3rd, 2010. The event raised funds for Global Green's initiatives and featured musical performances by Mia Maestro, Benji & Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, as well as Camp Freddy that featured surprise guests Mark McGrath, Juliette Lewis and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Celebrity supporters in attendance event included Orlando Bloom, Suzy Amis Cameron & James Cameron, Roland Emmerich, Adrian Grenier, Neil Patrick Harris, Salma Hayek, Zachary Quinto and more. NorthStar Moving donated it’s services to the Global Green's 7th annual Pre-Oscar Party this year as well. We had lots of fun at the party, as you can see in our Facebook photo album.

The Global Green 6th annual Pre-Oscar Party was held at the Avalon in Hollywood on February 19th, 2009. The event raised funds for Global Green's national green schools initiative, helping create green healthy schools. The evening featured musical performances by Sheryl Crow and Gavin Rossdale. Celebrity supporters in attendance at the event included: Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwen Stefani, Bar Rafaeli, Kate Walsh, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Heather Graham, Kevin Connolly, James Cromwell, Zachary Quinto, Jamie King, Lisa Ling, Benjamin McKenzie, Dominic Monaghan, Maria Menounos, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Lady Victoria Hervey, Julie Benz, Marla Maples, and more
