In honor of Nougat Day I thought I would shed a light on LA’s candy shops. People get moving to Los Angeles for many reasons, and now there’s an even sweeter one. In the words of the great Willy Wonka, candy is dandy! There’s no better treat, than something sweet. Grab a friend and move your feet. Keep moving and don’t stop, see what’s popping at the candy shop!

Sweet! Is located in the heart of Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd. Play a song with your feet on their grand piano staircase as you make your way to one of their delicious boutiques. When it comes to candy they’ve got it all from chocolate to taffy and everything in between. Their Atomic Bar is a “radioactive explosion in your mouth” and jam-packed with milk chocolate, dark chocolate, marshmallow, caramel, and sea salt!

Excite all 5 senses as you step into a world of candy! Located just around the corner from the Original Farmer’s Market, Dylan’s Candy Bar offers a unique mix of candy, art, and fun! Dripping chocolate walls, candy cane pillars, and lollipop trees, are just part of the enticing displays that make up Dylan’s Candy Bar. With over 7,000 confections you’ll have no problem choosing a treat that suits your taste.

Fugetsu-Do Confectioners started in 1903. Family owned and operated for over 100 years! Right in the heart of Little Tokyo. This Japanese Confectionary Shop has a rich history and is even home to the inventor of the fortunate cookie! Spoil yourself with mochi as you’re transported to the Far East. Try their Chocolate manju or peanut butter mochi and see why people return decade after decade.

Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop carries candy from all over America and even some from other galaxies! Visit locations in Burbank, Glendale, Sherman Oaks, and throughout LA. Experience a blast from the past when you step into a Rocket Fizz store. Many of their confections and potions were inspired by vintage treats. The fun doesn’t stop at candy and soda pop, you can also purchase a retro gag gift or movie poster with your chocolate & bacon soda. Each visit is sure to be full of galactic surprises.

Located in Beverly Hills, Sugarfina, gets its name by combining sugar with “fina”, the Italian word for very fine or supreme quality. The idea came about after the owners went to a screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Their candies are made from the highest quality ingredients from around the world. Spoil yourself with dark chocolate vanilla bean malt balls or champagne infused marshmallows dipped in 24k. It’s not just a candy shop, it’s a candy boutique.
