There are plenty of ways to do it too. From a trip to the beach to donating to a dog charity. Take a look at my favorite ways to celebrate dog day.

Doggie Cake Recipes

There’s no better way to show your pooch your appreciation than to bake them a cake. Not just any cake, a cake especially for them, that they can eat and enjoy all to themselves. Take this bacon and chicken puppy cake recipe for example. It’s full of fun flavors and is sure to hit the spot. Love to watch dogs lick peanut butter off their faces? So funny, right? This peanut butter banana carob cake is perfect for the both of you. If you’re looking for something healthier, you can try the triple apple dog cake recipe. It’s got cinnamon, apples, and a little something sweet for your favorite furry friend. Try out these other cool doggie treats.

Dog Friendly Restaurants

In LA we sure do love our dogs. There are several restaurants throughout LA that welcome them with open arms. Head to The Waffle in Hollywood and order a Woofle for your dog! Get moving to Grub and chow down on scrumptious treats for you and your pooch. Spice things up a bit, and make your way to Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine. Your doggie bud will love the special treatment as they’re (literally) waited on by the restaurant staff.

Show Your Doggone Appreciation

Donate to one of my favorite animal charities; Karma Rescue! They offer several educational programs and guidance for dog owners. Take them for a walk on a new route. Take them for a spa day at one of these cool doggie hotels. No matter how you celebrate, your pooch will appreciate a little extra love. Get moving with these fun ideas and remember to have a ball!
