Hi everyone! It’s Claire! How’s it going? It’s been a while. I’ve been busy with senior year and setting up events with Claire’s Place Foundation. 2014 has been a great a year so far; I can’t believe it’s almost coming to an end. Before we say goodbye to the year, I have a couple more events coming up. My next upcoming event is the Moonlight Glow Ride For Cystic Fibrosis.

Moonlight Glow RideGet moving From Pier to Pier

As someone who has been living with cystic fibrosis my whole life, I know how expensive hospital bills can be. That’s why I founded Claire’s Place Foundation to provide financial and emotional support for families affected by CF. In Southern California October is the perfect time of year to enjoy the last rays of summer before fall sets in. What better way to do that, then hit the beach?

What’s a Glow Ride?

On November 1, 2014 you can ride your bike, walk, or skate from Hermosa Beach Pier to Manhattan Beach Pier and back. That’s approximately 3.4 miles! This course is relatively flat, so it’s great for riders of various skill levels. Best of all you’ll be glowing the entire time. Participants will receive glow: bracelets, glasses, sticks etc. If it glows they’re handing it out! If you don’t have a bike, no problem. Hermosa Cyclery is sponsoring the event and will be donating 100% of bike rental fees collected from participants to Claire’s Place Foundation.

How to Get Involved

ClaireYou can donate to the event, purchase a Moonlight Glow Ride glow-in-the-dark shirt, sponsor, or fundraise for the campaign to support the event from anywhere in the world! If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous you can register to participate in the Moonlight Glow Ride! The ride starts at 6:30pm at the Hermosa Beach Pier, make sure to get there early! Can’t wait to see you all there!
