2nd Annual Holiday Food Drive: Let’s Send Hunger Packing!

Posted by Snap Greene | Posted in Pop-arazzi | Posted on 07-12-2012

GiveMaking your holiday food list and checking it twice? Don’t forget about those around us that are struggling to put their next meal on the table. In fact, more than 1.7 million in LA County are at risk of hunger every day, including 400,000 children. Shocking huh?

That’s why we are so excited to announce our second annual “Holiday Food Drive: Let’s Send Hunger Packing!” to aid in feeding children and their families. We have once again teamed up with our friends at Move for Hunger and the Los Angeles Food Bank to get the food in the right hands. And, we are happy to put our moving trucks to critical use, delivering the food right to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s door.

Donate now at buildings across Los Angeles through December 26, 2012, all of which have generously agreed to donate space for the food drive collection bin:

If you can’t make it to a donation location, you can donate online. Another way you can make a huge difference is by spreading the word! Tweet it, Facebook it, Yelp it.

Last year we collected 1,200 pounds of food, let’s get to 2,000 pounds! We’ll keep the fleet delivering food as long as necessary!

To give you some ideas, Move for Hunger and the Los Angeles Food Bank have created a “Most Wanted” food item list.
